The chorus is a bit too reminiscent of Whatever Happened To My Rock N Roll by BRMC which is a much better tune (listen to them back to back). I swear I did not see this mentioned before I said it lol. I did beat you by about an hour. Check the review thread. ;-) It is indeed very similar. And you were beat by a few hours in this thread (see NY's post way above). It doesnt matter who was first though, the lyrics and rhythm of the chorus make a it a dead giveaway.

Some good lyrics on this one, but the song's a bit dull. Riff does nothing for me.

Boring track with the sole purpose of bringing the album back down to Earth to prevent it from shooting off beyond the solar system.
Does it do its job? Yes Did if need it's own thread? No

This is my least favourite on the album and it's not one that can grow on me. I'm afraid this will be one of the songs I will skip often.

The riff kind of reminds me of Bitch by the Stones

Man. I just can't stop dancing to this tune. I know folks on here love the serious stuff and there's just generally no happiness on this board but goddamnit man, this song is insane amounts of fun. Makes me feel invincible, like most of this album. Young and soaring. Good Lorrrd, thank you Noel!

Perhaps a slightly weaker song from the album but it's a groovy cracker. Really want to get down and dirty to it. Like it a lot.

Thank god here in Mexico we are not only tacos, mariachis and for some reason Noel call this track.
For me sounds like a track from the last QOTSA album that is good cause the album its excellent.
A lot of guitars and great sound

Recycled verses from In The Heat of The Moment. I like it though, think it's one of the best things on the album. Sounds like a Gem song.

"WAH WAH WAH WUH WUH WUH WUH WAH WAH WAH WAH WUH WUHHHHHHH"
Beady Eye could never been able to touch something as brilliant as that.

Did The Mexican remind anyone else of a Weird Al song? I got a UHF vibe from it.

One of the more Oasis-y songs on this. CUE THE LIAM VOX COMMENTS but yeah you'd probably feel it more if it had been an actual Oasis song.
Definitely a grower though. When it'll hit you, you'll love it. Trust me.

Unpopular opinion: the WAHWAHWAHWAHs are incredibly catchy.

Listened to it once more and it's not as bad as I thought yesterday. The riff is cool.

A single called The Mexican Tune. That samples The Mexican by Babe Ruth.

Parts of the lead guitar on this remind me of those on Bowie's Let's Dance.
