This one has to be "The Magic Can't be Right". What do we know about that one?
BTW, great song. Sounds like those happy rockin' b-sides we used to get in the 90's.

Still loving this. Anyone else think it sounds like if Noel took the Meaning of Soul and made it his own, with his own touch and direction? From the drums to even the beginning of the chorus "It's alright!" I'm said this before but I can't get it out of my head.

Using Noel's way to describe a song...
It's U2 trying to sound like Bruce Springsteen.

imagine if he'd put it as The Magic Can't Be Right on the record, the reaction here a couple of months ago would have been amazing!

Strangely enough this is the only song on the album that somewhat bores me. I'm not sure why, either. The lyrics are good, yeah, but the sound is nothing new. Almost Springsteen-esque, like someone else said. Maybe I'll get into it after a few more listens.

This song, more than any other on the album, makes me wanna download the leak. Harking back to the great Oasis B-sides of old is definitely a very good thing.

I just don't hear that myself, but then we have disagreed on HFB before, so maybe you'll enjoy it more than me... Personally, it's all about While The Song Remains The Same, little belter of a tune.

For me it sounds like a B-side song from Stand by me/D'you know what I mean?/All arond the world. And I love these B-sides!!!! Good old days! I loved it to go in the shop and buy these singles at the day of release when I was a teenager. Hearing these new songs all days long! My sister lover/Flashbax/Stay young/Angel child/The fame/Street fighting man... Sooooo fucking good!

The great thing is all the songs seem to be getting some love. Means there aren't any real stinkers on there. I've not heard it but seems like a solid collection of songs Noel's put together.

Definitely Noels strongest collection of songs altogether on an album for a while.

Much like how "Kill for a Dream" sounded like a Nickelback song, "you Know we can't Go Back" sounds like a Taylor Swift song.
Think about it, and let the song be ruined for you like it was for me.

I wanted to make it clear that I like the song, but it doesn't seem like it should be sung by Noel to me.

I find it's the one track that feels as if Noel reached for. I keep hearing Springsteen and U2 inspirations as if that's some sort of justification for an average track. The only filler on the LP imo and makes the criticism for the Mexican even more confusion for me. The Mexican is fun and fits. This plods and appeases the Oasis die hards only.
