Songbird Demo anyone? that fucking ace bass line ripped off of And your bird can sing by The Beatles. Beautiful. I like the demo version, but always felt the stripped back album version was a bit better. I do wish they would've kept some of that aspect around. The bassline added a bit of a groove to the song.

Liam singing Lord Don't Slow Me Down is way better IMO. I still don't get why on Earth they all went with Noel's version. It seems like something done out of pure... I don't know the exact word, but to not let Liam have that official version is just cruel. Noel even said that he sang too much on DBTT, when asked why LDSMD didn't make it on the album, which is ironic, considering it was the perfect song for Liam to sing.

The Hindu Times (just a million times better than the final version) Little By Little (like the "a dead man dreams alone" line) Stop Crying Your Heart Out (different tuning, different chords to the final one) Songbird (wish it had been performed live like that) Live Forever (instrumental at the beginning is good) Some Might Say (love the plectrum against the stings before the drums come in - the electric demo) Go Let It Out (Austin Powers bit) Columbia (White Label Demo - always been a favourite)

Even though the quality is terrible, I really like the 'Magic Pie' and 'I Hope, I Think, I Know' rough mixes. I Hope I Think I Know demo (high quality) is my personal Oasis Holy Grial...

The demo is Noel on the acoustic, it has a capo on the second fret and is in the tuning of E A D G A E (or F# B E A B F# when the capo is in place). This is the tuning that is also used for songs such as Turn Up The Sun, Lyla, The Shock Of The Lightning, Rock 'N' Roll Star (live), Mucky Fingers, A Simple Game Of Genius, Alone On A Rope plus others I probably can't remember off the top of my head. Therefore, the chords are: Bsus2 0 0 2 2 0 0 A 0 0 2 0 0 0 E 0 0 0 2 0 0 G 1 3 3 2 0 0 D 0 3 2 0 3 0 A 3 2 0 0 3 3 E slid 0 5 4 0 5 0 (end of chorus/solo only) Intro: Bsus2 then off completely x 4 Verse: Bsus2 - A - E - G Chorus: D - A - E - G D - E slid - G - G Solo (same as Chorus but x 3 then last line) Ends: E - G Hope that helps. Have a play about with it though, see what you can come up with.
