There is a possibility that the reason why there is no opening act is because there might be a orchestra with Noel. If you think about it we know there is a sax solo in a song. Many of the songs off the last album relied on strings. My bet is they need to start setting the stage much earlier.
Thoughts? It would be a nice surprise and a really big possibility. In my opinion if there is an orchestra these concerts will be over the top.

There have been strings and all sorts of things on past albums, but they never took them on tour (besides a few gigs). They had a much larger crew in the Oasis days, and I don't see them spending the money to get a larger one this time around. If there really truly isn't an opening band (which I doubt), then it's more then likely so that Noel gets more money.

This would be interesting, but that would mean he'd include the strings on most, if not all songs, even songs from the Oasis era.

On the ticket site it said no opening act. I think it is safe to say there is not one. As far as money goes, the reason why Noel is not paying an opening act could be he is paying a orchestra or choir. I do not think it is a far stretch.

That would cost a fucking fortune. When someone shares the venue, the main event doesn't have to foot the bill for everything for the opening act, like they would for an orchestra. Noel most likely makes considerably less than he did with Oasis, so I find it hard to believe if they didn't do it then, then he wouldn't do it now. Especially when Noel is known for stripping down songs when it comes to the live shows.

Why would he take an orchestra on tour when he can replicate it good enough through emulation? I see the case for an orchestra at the really big gigs, but on tour? Not gonna happen. Cost too much, logistical nightmare etc.

It could be as simple as wanting to get shows over and done with. Don't expect anything like an orchestra or strings touring with Noel and don't expect set length to differ much from last tour.

The opening act will be Liam tap dancing to "Man Of Misery".
And it will be the closest to Oasis reunion as we'll ever get.

I hope there's no opening act in Toronto. The band that opened for Noel on his 2011 tour were BORING! I saw Ryan Adams open for Oasis and I was so bored that I FELL ASLEEP! Too bad Noel couldn't tour with Miles Kane.

the sax solo could easily be replaced by a guitar solo.
and why would noel need an entire orchestra for a sax solo?

I didn't know Mike Rowe could play the sax. Synthetic sax. Never as good as the real thing. No. But Mile Rowe might be able to do something with it. I have more faith in him making it sound good than Tim Smith. Noel maybe not want to cart a sax player around to theater gigs in North America I'd bet he gets a real sax for the UK gigs. In arenas it would surely be worth it

I would predict he'll defo have extra musicians on the UK tour like he did on the HFB tour.
If Sax is on the album as much as it seems and it can be arranged into some of the other songs i can see him having 1 sax player on at every gig.

Is anyone actually bothered about the support? Don't think I've ever been in early enough ever
