Just got next month's Q magazine in and Noel's on the front. There's a big 11 page interview with him inside, though a few of them are full page photos.

Noel with a Telecaster Deluxe? Very unexpected. The black Les Paul in the ITHOTM video, then the cream Strat for Mighty I... where are his faithful Gibson 355s? Anyway, thank you for the pics kingcrawler! Very appreciated, I'll give it a read later on

Noel standing with a Deluxe Tele? And auditioning sax players? Good times ahead, folks. At the very least, interesting ones.
Also, he pretty much confirms what I've always suspected he thought about the whole Amorphous Androgynous drama, that the album 'wasn't good enough' for him.

Thanks a lot for posting. Interview's infinitely better than that abomination rent-a quote thing which the NME ran a couple of weeks ago. No wonder no-one reads that rag anymore. Oh, and Liam absolutely would have smashed 'Everybody's On The Run'

That's about as honest as Noel could be about AA. Essentially, it's easy for everyone else to want it released, but in the end, his name is on the cover. Also, interesting what he says about Liam. Probably the most respect one can attach the word c*nt and someone else

I'm on my phone and for some reason I can't zoom in, so I can only read the bits in big letters. Every Breaking Wave IS one of the best tunes on that U2 album.
That's all I have to say for now, lol.

good to see Noel mixing it up with his guitar selections. Can never ever go wrong with a tele.

Further proof that Oasis should have fired Marcus Russell after Be Here Now.

Marcus Russell should never be allowed to interfere with the music. Bit annoying to read how he was wary of Noel trying new things.
Reminds me of that story where Brian Epstein made a remark on a Beatles recording, and as shot down by Lennon saying the manager should have no say on the music.

There are also aspects of the modern music biz that make Gallagher uncomfortable. He's appalled, he says, by the way women are portrayed in hip-hop videos ("It's a fucking disgrace and has been for 20 years") and by the "shock value and innuendo" some female artists use to sell their music. "Listen, the days of Chrissie Hynde, Debbie Harry and Annie Lennox are long, long gone. Do I worry about the effect, say, Miley Cyrus might have on my daughter?...It can't be good for girls"

Reminds me of that story where Brian Epstein made a remark on a Beatles recording, and as shot down by Lennon saying the manager should have no say on the music. I guess he's entitled to his opinion. There are saxophones on the album so presumably Noel brushed him off as well. Presumably Noel weighs opinion like that and decides if he is gonna listen. I think there is nothing wrong with someone in Noel's life expressing concern or having a negative opinion. I think there is more harm done by having too many yes men around saying everything is amazing.
