I’m writing a piece on Oasis’ best and worst moments for FRONT magazine in the UK. I wanted to know what you lot think: Best moments: Liam surfing the tour bus roof, Acquiesce b-side, Knebworth, King Tut’s, MTV awards? Worst moments: Roll With It, shaking Tony Blair’s hand, shacking up with an All Saint? Any thoughts?

worst moment has to be the phase around the middle/end of the shoulders of giants tour...the band were perilously close to splitting up.....having a stand-in lead guitarist on the european leg of the tour with liam being the only original member of the band on the stage.....in my opinion those were the lowest few months for Oasis....
as for the highs, some might say going to number one was a defining moment....knebworth and maine road (obviously).....producing heathen chemistry and finsbury park......the addition of andy, gem and liam as song writers....madison square gardens and boston tweeter centre on the DBTT tour.....

I second Finsbury Park for a high. Brilliant concert! What's wrong with Roll With It BTW? As for lows, what Liam wore at Glastonbury 04. D:

Best moment for me was their brilliant set at Livid in Brisbane in 2002. Worst moment was the second day of the Wembly stadium gig, not the music itself but Liams attitude. He decided he couldn't give a fuck and was insulting Londers and generally being an obnoxious prick to his fans. That was why the Livid gig was so good, he made a real effort and didn't just stand there waving his two fingers at everyone.

best: noel's songwriting not cracking under the pressure, liam @ earls court, the emergence of the new band as a stronger more productive unit
worst: liam @ mtv unplugged/ liam @2nd night wembley, noel's attitude about music in the interview on ftm

Best moments.. Every show on the Definitley Maybe tour (especially their 1st ever arena gig at the Sheffield Arena. This was to be McCarrolls last gig, the 1st hearing of Don't Look Back in Anger and also the night when 100's of fans climbed over the safety barriers to get down the front. All the b-sides and all the singles from 1994-1996 Maine Road especially the 2nd night Finsbury Park Madison Sqaure Gardens sold out in under 2 hours Worst part All the cancelling of shows with short notice! The majority of shows on the Be Here Now Tour The majority of tracks on 'Standing On The Shoulder of Giants'

I believe the best moments would be Maine Road, Knebworth or Wembley in 2000, when peoplo were thinking Oasis were about to split and they did one of their best concerts...
The worst would probably the fight between the Gallaghers during 2000, cos' a lot of fans thought the band was over... oh and also the new Acquiesce video, that makes me pray for only live videos from now on...

WORST - Noel all coked up and wearing a fur coat in 1997, partying with supermodels
noel saying he hopes BLUR dies and gets aids....(haha)
blowing it infront of Ringo
* why am I being so hard on noel ? I love him, the brilliant, the good and the bad sides of him..
BEST - knebworth
LIVE4EVER video !
the release of DM and the REBIRTH of british rock n roll end of story -
best new band award in 1994 !
the cover of NME (was it ?) "the band you've been waiting for"
and honestly their comeback DBTT tour ! Madison Square Garden SOLD OUT (have that rolling stone magazine ! ) AMEN

Worst: Noel getting fat on the Be Here Now Tour lol...no I am kidding..
REal Worst: Its a tied between Noel beating Liam with a cricket bat during the recording of WTSMG? or Noel beating the shit out of Liam when Liam questioned the Parterity of Noel's Anais.
Best: Some Might Say Hitting number one, Maine Road, Madison Square Garden.

Another worst part for me was when i met Noel backstage and he was very rude. Not only to me but to several others who had travelled all the way from England to Lyon for the 1st night of the Heathen Chemistry tour. Bad attitude!!

worst -- noel's songwriting since 1998 and only having two original members left, letting others write songs, andy and gem having some of the best songs on the last album
best -- first three albums, still maintaining a healthy american audience

The bands they were in before Oasis had some incredible tunes.

Best: Definitely Maybe Worst: Destroying all street credibility they had state side in the late 90's Don't forget the credibility they destroyed in Australia when they pulled out of a tour there as well.

Worst: Liam in august-autumn 96: MTV Unplugged, he's not going to America with the rest of the band, split-up rumors; Bonehead and Guigsy leaving; Noel leaves band during 2000 European tour; 2nd Wembley show; Liam's fight in Munchen; Alan leaves band in 2004, Glastonbury 2004. Best: there are much more best moments in Oasis history! Especially all the major shows from every tour: Maine Road 96, Knebworth, G-Mex 97, Wembley 00, Finsbury Park 02, Manchester 05. I wish, I could ever be at Oasis show... And also: Roll With It @totp; Brit Awards 96... Oh, I can remember them all now

I don't understand, but whatever. The Oasis I love is the one that kick started the 90s with Definetely Maybe and the same one that kept the dream alive with Don't Believe The Truth.
