I loved Sergeant (and you know who told me about them, globey). Definitely gonna check his solo stuff. I wonder our "Stuart" will go completely solo as well. I was speachless when he suddenly stood at front of me to play a couple of songs acoustic all alone 1,5 years ago. Edit: Just listened to "Caves" and I love it. Beautiful tune. Gonna check his soundcloud to listen to other songs. |

He's got a few songs on his Soundcloud account, sound decent. Strange one how Sergeant never made it, even stranger how they threw the towel in so soon. In the space of 5 years Nick Mercer went from supportin' Oasis with Sergeant to sellin' clothes from Liam in his Pretty Green store.

I remember reading an interview with Mercer around the time they split, he was saying that they were getting more into bands like The XX and were a bit bored with the stuff they were doing. I guess he's got that kind of vibe out of his system with the Saint Kilda stuff and is now back to his comfort zone. |

Always loved Sergeant. Actually seen Nick live this past Saturday at a local pub. He was fantastic. Finished his set with Slide Away too! Had a chance to chat with him for 5 or 10 minutes after the gig. Top man. Already got my tickets to the reunion gigs! |

I don't understand why he's gettin' Sergeant back for "one off" Christmas gigs again, either get the band back together or leave it in the past.

The View are playing overhere early next year. If they support them, I'll definitely go to see Sergeant (remember when Stuart supported them last time!) |
