From those 15 seconds - I definitely love the sound so far. Can't really judge the melody yet, although there appears to be (as speculated) some parallels to What a Life.

I really think the bass takes away from the vocal... God bless.

Great first lines too, typical Noel: " Followed you down to the end of the world / to wait outside your window". Brilliant lyrics

He sounds like a pervy stalker... i thought of it more a metaphor that he would go to the ends of the earth for someone only to be shut out sort of like being rejected by somebody you care for kinda thing?

Everybody's talking about the red jeans, but the fact that Noel is holding a Strat is the ultimate sign that this is the beginning of a complete new era. I never thought I would see that day.

No the lyrics are meant to be interpreted strictly literally. It will be clear in the next verse where he talks about having his hands down his red pants, having a cheeky one without her knowing he's there...

I think so too. I'm curious for the rest of the lyrics, and the title in relation to the rest of it

Izzza joke seee ;-) Anyway, opening line is a bit odd if its meant to be about his son. Unless his son hates him.

For the last few years Noel has gone by without us really commenting on his appearance. I think its because we thought he looked cool but at the same time was aging gracefully.
He isn't like Liam who will take stick and then you see thousands dressed like him.
So when Noely g takes a bit of flack its a but harder to read
Slow down dudes

... uhm...no! There still are b-sides and will ever be as long as singles are released as physical records, especially as vinyl records. For instance: If I have a look at the backcover of my 7" single of the ITHOTM - released only a few weeks ago - there is somtething written which states "B - do the damage" ;-) ITHOTM/DTD is not a double A-side release. By the way: What is the function of a b-side? I can tell: Its exactly what you described as the function of bonus tracks. In a nutshell: A b-side is, was and will always be a bonus track ... a bonus track to the a-side. ;-) Dude, you are really splitting hairs here. You know exactly what I mean. Of course I do

Aha! Look what I found (from stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.dk/2008/09/noel-gallagher-interview-with-blender.html):Dude, Jay-Z did an Oasis song at the Glastonbury Festival this summer after you questioned whether he belonged there. Why don’t Oasis do a version of Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”? Rosiyoung, Seattle
That’s ridiculous. What did I think of Jay-Z doing “Wonderwall”? It was pretty funny. But I’m not sure one should be seen in public with a white Stratocaster.

They'd scare small children. Now his teeth are capped. Eyebrows trimmed. He dresses smart and rocks a cool haircut. Liam will always look cool. That's his thing.

I don't remember seeing him with a Strat. He did use a couple of Teles during SOTSOG, but not Strats (he did use one on the record, though...)

I have an Oasis photograph book by Mitch Ikeda which he followed and took lots of great shot during HC (or was it SOTSOG?) Tour. He's a great photographer.

I'm not familiar with Kasabian at all, but I do hear the resemblance between those first verses with that video posted. Not sure it's a bad thing as long as the song branches out differently.
