I seriously can't stop playing it. And when I do stop, I can't get it out of my head. Huge grower (and that's what @thatdoctor said, too  ). No, seriously, loving this. matt has been spot on with everything he's written. Was a bit surprised by your initial reaction - thought you'd be one to appreciate it from the off, that said, glad it has grown on you! Treat it like a new pair of shoes - feels a bit weird at first, pinches a bit, but go for a walk in them and it feels perfect! |

Seriously fuck off to everyone who thinks this is a good song. The man is obviously STRUGLING TO WRITE GOOD MELODIES THESE DAYS so he puts everything in the production and the vibe to cover up up for shitty ,forgettable tunes. The first two songs were average or decent at best,but this is completely weak. Massive fucking dissapointment from one of the best songwriters of the last 20 years. Instead of telling us to fuck off, why don't you accept that plenty of people are liking this song? Struggling to to write good melodies? In The Heat Of The Moment was basically just all good melody. And this "massive fucking disappointment" has been out a matter of hours and yet hoards of angry people are jumping out to kick it into the dirt immediately - bloody hell, give it a chance at least. |

So when can we buy this off itunes? I was under the impression it would be available tomorrow, but I guess Noel's management have fucked up once again by just leaving it around the internet for weeks while everyone rips it off some mp3 site. Since it's already available on iTunes Japan, I'll guess we'll have it tomorrow... |

Good song, not single material but I liked the keyboards. I expected a bit more, would love it on the context of the album but as a single this is the weakest since she is love/sunday morning call.

Noel surprised the shit out me. He's never written a melody that changes keys in such a weird way. Good on him. I'm not sure if this is the type of tune that will goose album sales all the much, but it is a huge creative leap.

I know a lot of you like it, but do you guys think it's single material? ITHOTM is a perfect single cause it's shows the direction you can expect it from the album while still sounding like something you'd expect from Noel.

8/10 First off great video...best since TIOBI IMO, the Chris Martin line is funny man So...the song. It's great! At first left me a little cold with the atypical melody and structure but after repeated listens it reveals itself as a song which balances the epicness and grandeur of HFB1 with the dance style of the heard CY tracks and I love the fact that it has a great chorus (just don't understand the no-chorus comments here...ok it's not DLBIA it shouldn't be - that wouldn't work here) melodic verses, lots of intricate guitar flourishes and still manages to leave with all the paranoia with which it entered... Also the lyrics are top notch and unexpectedly so The Ballad of the Mighty I - Aka...What A Tune! |
