Haha. The best part of this is the talk between Noel and the director at the beginning and at the end.
The song itself is boring. If you gonna make 5 minute song it needs to happen more in it. And what was the point in having Johnny Marr on it. Nothing extraordinary with that guitar bit anyway. I've lost my hope for this album now. Expectations are down to zero. Didn't like In The Heat Of The Moment either. I was hoping that I would like this album more than the last one, but I think that's not gonna happen.

Mindblowing, I love the new Disco Noel. How is this disco ? It's nowhere near being disco Not 100% disco, but it's got some 70's disco elements such as the drum beat and the major sevenths in the orchestration. Edit: Another thing I just noticed, the phrase played by the string just at the end of the instrumental break.

Hmm, thought the verses were a bit strange at first but they make sense upon second listen. The instrumental bits are pretty cool. Was hoping for something a bit more disco though.

Trying to make out the lyrics. In the first verse what does he say after 'if you put me up like a fly on the wall'??

Same here, i was genuinely excited reading the song description, but something has always been a bit off during the interviews Noel gave, like he didn't even like what he was promoting. Just my opinion, but i get a feeling Noel doesn't really like the singles, clearly marketed for the radio. Maybe the rest of the record will be ok. Lost hope now though.

I'm quite enjoying the juxtaposition in the verses, it's something that catches you by surprise after the first couple of lines.
Keeps you on your toes, good stuff.

To me he always seemed enthusiastic about this song. In the album presentation he called it a 'much better track than ITHOTM'. He's also called it an epic track and mentioned he left it off the previous album because it was already 'epic enough'. But it's ok if you don't like it.

I can't understand how this song is getting so much shit. It's fucking brilliant and 10x better than ITHOTM

He was clearly not convinced at all about this record, or at least the singles, not in the words he was saying, in the attitude, the looks, the eyes, the gestures. It wasn't the confident Noel. Let's wait a few years, we'll see.

BE, compared to that, is a much stronger record (bsides included). and i'm much more of a Noel fan than Liam's, i gotta say.

Let's wait a few years, we'll see. Yea, but it's Noel doing a Facebook chat and being the usual grumpy Noel. He wasn't that enthusiastic at the beginning of last album cycle either. I get what you're saying, but you're summarizing his feelings about his own music based off the first interview he did off his vacation. It's a weak argument in my opinion. If he goes the next month still being dreary about it then fine, but right now, to go off solely from that Facebook chat seems thin.

Everytime he said that, we would get a HC or a DOYS.

Looks like some people was waiting to destroy Noel if he didn´t write Don´t look back in anger part 2, and they are doing it now. Beatiful song. Stop comparing with BE please.

Quite like it although I expected it to be a lot better. Missin' a big chorus though, feels like it's buildin' up to somethin' but never really gets there. Johnny Marrs guitar bit is pretty disappointin', expected it to be brilliant.

Listened to it over and over and just aint feeling it. The whole song seems like its getting ready to go somehwere but never does, both singles have been pretty underwhelming

The full length makes it sound darker, it's still ringing around in my head so that's a good thing. That geezer at the beginning and end did my nut in though.

I think noel doesn't seem as confident because he know he's doing something his "fans" wouldn't really expect from him, which is leaving his comfort zone in a way. Like he himself said, if i didn't think it was great, i wouldn't put it out there. He's just nervous because he doens't know how "his audience" will react

Followed you down to the end of the world/ To wait outside your window, In the heat of the rain I call your name/ But you just pass me by If you put me up like a fly on the wall/ you’ll need a blade where the hair lumps fall(??)Give me a sign if you hear me call/ you just pass me by The colours around me are faded away/ I’ll be awaiting come what may I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you, Thought that I’d be the man that walks the earth alone Followed the stars and I sang to the sun/ and held it in my fingers Alone on the beach on my own out of reach/ you just pass me by Give you the world if you take my hand/ but you left me alone in the sinking sand Strike up the band for one last stand/ and you just pass me by Show me the rules of the games you play/ and I’ll be awaiting come what may I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you, If I gotta be the man who walks the earth I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you, Thought I would be the man that walks the earth alone Followed you now to the end of the world/ to wait outside your window In the heat of the rain I’ll call your name/ but you just pass me by Wherever you run I’ll be on your tail/ whenever you’re hiding behind your veil I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you, If I gotta be the man who walks the earth I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you, If I gotta be the man who walks the earth alone. Little help? Not convinced about the bold section, and not sure about 'in the heat of the rain'.

The "chorus" (I’ll find you, yes I’ll find you) sounds like Skyfall by Adele and Messed up Kids by Jake Bugg
