Wow, it really doesn't go the way I thought it would go. Quite different for a Noel song.

The 60 second preview....Meh at best. Sounds like we've heard everything the song has to offer as it just starts to repeat the initial verse. But maybe not, maybe there's more.

I really didn't expect to dislike this song as much as I do.

Is that the cover art? It's amazing. Think Bob Dylan on painkillers while listening to Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.

Actually, scratch my last post, after a few more listens, I think it's still building.

Gonna resist hearing those longer previews but liked what I heard in the trailer posted by Noel's management (and I don't really like ITHOTM)

So can anyone estimate the earliest time we might hear the full song?

I know it's only a 60 second preview but this doesn't scream single material. Who knows once all is revealed.

be the man that walks to __________
What is it he's singing there?
or is it...
be the man that wants to yell alone?

From that 60 second preview, it sounds like one awesome vocal track laid down by Noel, and it sounds really unique for him. I like it. It's the perfect mix of typical rock from Noel and mainstream pop. I can't wait to hear what Marr-performed lick may come with the full track.

be the man that walks to __________ What is it he's singing there? or is it... be the man that wants to yell alone? I'm pretty sure it's "If I gotta be the man who walks the earth alone." This is partly by ear and partly a reading of the lyric sheet off the deluxe edition website (shows the lyric "walks the"). PS: This is my first post here!

It's very different. But I think I do like it. Pretty sure I do. I wouldn't have listened to the preview 10+ times already if I didn't like it.

Not feeling it yet. The structure is so odd. Doesn't scream epic closing track... Yet.

It def gets better on ththe second listen. Gotta get use to Noel's new studio gimmicks. I noticed them too. It seems like he's putting the bass guitar out in front more, which is definite modern touch to the songs, having a good amount of reverb on his vocals (similar to NGHFB), and opening up little areas for all the instruments to have a part in the "brickwall". This may be the audiophile coming out in me, but I wish he'd do an album where it's more dynamic, instead of the usual "brickwall" production that's been done for the past 21 years.
