Never seen Paul Weller in concert but it's one that I absolutely must...top on my list along with the Buzzcocks and the Cure. Don't think there's much chance of me seeing Ashcroft or the Verve anymore.

Saw Mr.Weller last summer - it was a great gig to be fair to him.
But a LOT of the people who go there expect hit after hit: it's like his career after the Style Council didn't happen.

Got the ticket for my 10th Weller solo gig. Saw Mr.Weller last summer - it was a great gig to be fair to him. But a LOT of the people who go there expect hit after hit: it's like his career after the Style Council didn't happen. A lot of people expect him to play The Jam and The Style Council songs too. I'm not lying that I always go mental and enjoy when he plays a couple of The Jam songs, but I truly love his solo material as much as The Jam's. I've never been a big fan of The Style Council, but without his years of The Style Council, Weller wouldn't have been what he is now. UGHF, listen to "Stanley Road", "Heavy Soul", "Heliocentric", "Studio 150", "As Is Now", "SoniK Kicks" and find his brilliant solo history. mkoasis, I hope you'll be able to see him live in the near future. His gig is so energic.

I hope so too. Even if he doesn't play any Jam stuff, I love all his solo albums, with 22 Dreams being my favourite.

That's interesting, considering Weller and Noel are best mates and the kind of stressed relationship between the AA and Claus.

That's interesting, considering Weller and Noel are best mates and the kind of stressed relationship between the AA and Claus. I'd imagine it will get brought up in an interview with Weller at some point depending on what the AA have to say about Noel in next week's NME. Weller must have been impressed with the Aim High remixes to work with them in the studio, if that is the case of course. Looking forward to seeing what the details of the announcement tomorrow are.

Considering he's getting on a bit he's great live.
