I just came across this by chance, an upcoming documentary about the Hacienda, with a certain singer, one Liam Gallagher, being one of the people interviewed. www.doyouownthedancefloor.co.uk/teaser/At the end of the teaser there is a link to another very short one with just Liam speaking. PS: Not sure if this is the right place here?

Surprised Noel's not this. Out of the Gallagher brothers, it's him you'd associate with The Hacienda, owing to the fact that he doesn't half go on about it sometimes

Young Noel went to Hacienda every Saturday night and one of his pal was Ian Marr - Johnny's younger brother. Johnny recall later that Nole gave Ian his demo, but Johnny received so many demo's from unknown local bands those days, so didn't have time to listen Noel's demo. On one day Noel asked Johnny like "did you listen to my demo? Did you?", so Johnny remembered "Oh, god. that demo!" and he went back home and listened to it.
Hacienda was THE icon for any music lovers in 80's - early 90's. Shame that it's now an expensive apartment. In parking area in the basement, there's still a wall left with all those names of bands which ever played in Hacienda.

I'm not only living in the wrong place, but I'm also horribly late to all those parties, but I'm fascinated with all things Factory, Manchester music history, etc. ("24 hour party people" has a lot to answer for, especially in my music and books collection. ) So when I was in Manchester this year I went on pilgrimage, mostly to places that used to be, like the former Hacienda. One of the weirder sightseeing experiences, but great fun. So I'm looking forward to that documentary. I also had the impression that Liam was too young to have been part of that scene, but maybe he was the only Gallagher available. Also, Oasis did play in the Hacienda, didn't they? I seem to remember, maybe from McCarroll's book that they insulted Shaun Ryder and were thrown out afterwards. PS: Thank you for moving!

He wanted to have The Smiths for Factory Record too, but Moz and Johnny have chosen Rough Trade which was just a baby back in time. Oasis did play in Hacienda on September 5th 1994, didn't they, davidjay?

See, unfortunately, the medical establishment is a business like any other business. And business needs customers. And, they want to sell you their most expensive item which is unnecessary surgery. You know, I am not a business man. I'm a holistic healer. It's a calling, it's a gift. You see, it's in the best interest of the medical profession that you remain sick. You see, that insures good business. You're not a patient. You're a customer. God bless.

Hi, I'm the guy making the film mentioned on here, doyouownthedancefloor. Just to answer one of the questions posted on here.
We did try to speak to Noel but it didn't happen unfortunately. Liam went to the club just before oasis got bigger, played once and then 'his life went down a different path' as he told us.
We are aiming to release the film in June.
Cheers Chris

''This exclusive clip is from the documentary Do You Own The Dancefloor. A film about what happened to the parts of the iconic Hacienda nightclub, when it was knocked down and sold off at auction in Nov 2000.''
Anybody saw this before?
