Can't remember ever hearing a Gallagher tune for the first time via a video. Gonna be WELL GOOD. We'll probably hear it on the Breakfast Show first.

After a couple of months, I'm just getting into IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT.. and I think it will sound amazing live. And I actually thought Do the Damage was better... Couldn't be more pumped to hear THE BALLAD OF THE MIGHTY I!!! I'm calling it right now... The Smiths doing the La's doing the Kinks doing the La's. He's already said it sounds like Echo and The Bunnymen.

This is something I don't understand. If you pre-order from iTunes, you can download the track instantly. If you pre-order from the official website, the mainly source, you get nothing. Yeah, this is quite strange. And unnerving. I'm not buying any digital crap off iTunes when I have already preordered the whole physical thing on the official store... Yeah, I'd like to but the digital single to have the song with some decent quality, not for some digital recorder, but I won't do this when I'm already pre-ordered the physical CD.

Am I the only one who likes these new album covers? I think they reflect Noels early days really well. 80s/very early nighties retro.
The album and singles covers from NGHFB1 were poor in my opinion. They looked like a bunch of Instagram photos caked with horrible filters.
Of course you can argue the same with these latest releases, but I like how simple and bold they are. Not trying to be fake, wispy, ethereal scenes with Noel plonked in them trying to act natural. Little things, like how the filter has genuinely projected over Noel, rather than added in post processing, give them a 'real' feel.
These new ones sure ain't perfect, but they have my support.

Hang on, does that mean the b-side is available also on Tuesday? No words about this. If it really is Revolution Song, Amazon is saying Feb. 16th...

So, Amazon was right. Then Riverman will be the third single? Or maybe just a US single?
And we still don't know (officially) which is the B-side

No I think they're fantastic. The design is almost stark yet engaging, they're direct, but energetic and different. I find it laughable that people hate on these covers, as if it's a no brainer then make their own. They all turn out super amateurish IMO--And yet people on here are all up in arms like "Yeah that's way better!" Ridiculous, but to each their own. Also showed them around my work (lots of designers around) and really, really positive responses to them. Ranting now, but it's bugged me for a long time. If you want to talk shit about Oasis and their design aesthetic look at the logo from '00-'04. That's something to gripe about. But overall with this forum I don't post much because most of the opinions/speculation on here seems so off base it just makes me mad. Ok, I'm done now. Have a good Weekend.

I think they will definitely grow on people and once seen in context (here) people may sooner realise that. Oh, and yeah, that 00-04 logo was dreadful.

Is it only available to buy for those who pre-order off itunes?
If so, that's another terrible marketing ploy.
Considering many of us have pre-ordered it in physical format, nobody will buy the single if its only available via digital pre-order. Which means by time it is available for everyone, it will have been on the radio for a while and the tune will have been available for illegal downloading etc.

Not too keen on the images, but having read your post, you make an excellent argument for it and I see your point about the artwork.

Zane Lowe Hottest Record In The World, Monday 12th, Radio 1 19:30??? Video online straight after? Digital release 13th??? I wasn't far wrong! Getting track and video Monday, bet it is still Zane Lowe's hottest record, just not first play.

I do respect your opinion, but I can't disagree more. To me the covers for CY so far look dull, uninspired, amateurish. Just look at the album cover... it's cringeworthy! Noel in front of a dirty wall, and some bizarre black lines on the side. Is that it? The single covers are a bit better, to be honest. At least they have some colors in it! I'm no designer (I like to think that I'm a good photographer though!) but I do adore album covers, the look is important to me. The work of Brian Cannon with Oasis was very good, for example. Let's talk Storm Thorgerson and his Pink Floyd covers... now those are masterpieces! But these... they may please some designer's mind but not mine. They're not even minimalist... they are just bad looking. Here are just two of my favourite Oasis covers for a quick visual comparison... as you say, "to each their own" but there's really no match IMHO.

I like the cover, sort of. It's more inspiring than the album cover and a bit more interesting than ITHOTM.
