Hang on a minute, is it 'Mighty I' as in 'eye' or 'one'? This is a good question. I always thought Mighty I (Eye) as a possessive statement (I am Mighty). Mighty I came from a website which generated random reggae names. The word "I" is really important to Rastafarians. A rasta would never say "you and I". Instead they say "I and I" to emphasise we're all the same and that everyone should be treated with respect. A rasta would refer to himself in the same way "I and I". This is because God is also "I" and is always with you so you're never alone. So Mighty I can be read as an individual mighty person, a mighty group of people or as God. It'll be interesting to hear what Noel says about this song in interviews. It could simply be about Donovan, but Noel is a huge music fan and I've heard him praise Bob Marley, so I'm sure he's aware of the deeper meanings of that phrase.

He's selling out venues in ten minutes that gross over a million pounds each...
Pretty sure he's happy with how the promotion is going...

Apparently the guy who said 16:30 was only speculating and meant 16:30 Japan time/7:30 GMT time.

He started referring to his family by reggae aliases in the DOYS tour diary, Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere. m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/1063884I believe he even credited himself as General Dread in the DOYS liner notes...

Ah, I see. I wasn't really into Oasis enough then to really follow interviews and go on forums. I was still discovering most of their music at the time. Thanks though.

No one talked about it, but Ballad of the Mighty I is the final track of the record. I personally have a special feeling for final tracks, they usually are strong, they must have some nostagia.
Ballad of Mighty I has 5:15 of duration. Is a long track, not usual for lead singles. I'm very curious about it.
