When you look at who wrote what on the three albums with Oasis Mark II (W/Gem, Andy (& Alan White)) Liam didn't get to sing a lot of Noel written songs and as such Oasis changed a lot from the original idea of Noel written songs with Liam singing lead vocals on them... Liam sang 3 on "Heathen Chemistry", 2 on "Don't Believe The Truth" & 3 on "Dig Out Your Soul" - you could say that Noel Gallagher the solo artist was emerging and Beady Eye already was functioning from 2001 and on till the end Liam, Gem & Andy worked on Liams songs and Liam sang their songs.
At the same time Noel could have released an amazing album 2003-2007 Beady Eye could have released a pretty good album too… (Turn up the Sun, Eyeball Tickler, Love Like A Bomb, I'm Outta Time, The Meaning Of Soul, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, A Bell Will Ring, Boy With The Blues, I Believe in All, Keep The dream Alive, Ain't Got Nothin', Soldier On)
Ok it's "thought up" album time… I've been listening to this playlist for a couple of years and it should have been Noels solo debut - it's amazing… another great compilation is lurking In march when we get the bonus tracks of the next album...
If Oasis had disbanded after "Heathen Chemistry" Noel could have made a GREAT solo album of songs from the period 2004-2007 - I do prefer the Alternative Paul Stacey produced demo version of "Waiting For The Rapture" Noels vocals are really good on this one and I just think the arrangement is a lot stronger when it's simple instead of "The Doors" inspired from Five Foot One" version from Dig Out your Soul - anyways a great title could be "Lord don't Slow Me Down" and there is atleat three or four strong singles on there:
Lyla (demo version) Mucky Fingers The Importance Of Being Idle Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders? (Goal Soundtrack) Sittin' Here In Silence (On My Own) Part Of The Queue
Falling Down Waiting For The Rapture (alternative version 2 from Dig Out Your Soul bonus CD) The Turning (Alternative version from Dig Out Your Soul bonus CD) Lord Don't Slow Me Down (the version from from Dig Out Your Soul bonus CD) Let There Be Love (demo from Don't Believe The Truth Sessions)
"The B-side's album from 2011-2015" - Noel told us "Do the Damage" should have been the first song on the the next album until "Riverman" arrived in the acoustic arrangement - so why not start of with that - it's a great opener, Freaky Teeth is such a great tune it has to come second the third song is "Revolution Song" which we know from the demo's for "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" a "Don't Look Back In Anger" kind of Noel song which is good before the mood goes inward for "Alone On The Rope" and "Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me".
Since we don't know if there is anymore b-side's for the the second Noel album - there is the good rock song that didn't make "Dig Out Your Soul" "Come On Outside" (okay the line with the cow lyric are a little annoying) but it will pick up the tempo for the second side which then could segue into the "She Is Love" song "I'd Pick You Every Time" after that little banjo ditty "The Good Rebel" is a breath of swirling psych beatles 66 mode and then the grand finale in the long outro song "A Simple Game Of Genius" which has great piano intro and a good building arrangement again the Beatles ("Dear Prudence") come to mind...
Do The Damage Freaky Teeth Revolution Song Alone On The Rope Lord Let The Light Shine A Light On Me
Come On Outside I'd Pick You Every Time The Good Rebel A Simple Game Of Genius
Voilá 2 more Noel albums and maybe the strongest Beady Eye album... (co-produced with Noel ;-)….)
Anyways… maybe someone else has a couple of playlists in the same vein while waiting for Noel's second coming...

Cool 'what if' thread. What if Oasis broke up before Heathen Chemistry and Noel went solo and the rest formed BDI Noel's first album (2004)would look something like this Little by Little She is Love Geting Older Can You See It Now Who Put the Weight,... Force of Nature You've Got the Heart of the Star Shout it out Loud Let there be Love Idlers Dream BDI's first album (2005) would look like this Hung in a bad place Songbird Born on a Different cloud Betterman Thank You for the good times Turn up the Sun Meaning of Soul Guess God thinks I'm able Keep the dream Alive A bell will ring Continuing this particular what if...in and around 2009 we would've seen a second album from both artists. Noels second would look like this The Importance of Being Idle Part of the Queue Mucky Fingers Waiting for the Rapture Get off your High Horse Lady Falling Down Those Swollen Hand Blues I Wanna Live in a Dream Stop the Clocks Lord Dont Slow Me Down BDI's second shapes up something like this I'm Outta Time To Be Where There Is Life Aint Got Nothin The Nature of Reality Soldier On Pass Me on the Wine Boy with the Blues I Believe in All The Roller And continuing to construct this alternate reality it would be safe to assume that the reception to those albums would of been OK but it also safe to assume that during all this time Noel would've been stockpiling songs he wrote for the inevitable reunion which we can say happened in 2009. A reunion he insisted would have to be a return to the way it was at the beginning when he wrote the songs and Liam sang, which would've led to the following release... Hindu Times Stop Crying Your Heart Out Lyla Let There Be Love Bag It Up The Shock of the Lightning The Turning Come On Outside If I Had A Gun (cause Noel would've given himself one vocal) Which would've been lauded as the greatest return to form album in the history of rock. Of course sometime during the world arena tour that would've accompanied the album Liam would find himself holding one to many a plum and the band would disolve for a final time. Or something like that

Great suggestions! Especially the last album with Liam singing Noel songs - filled up with singles! :-)

The only stone into the pond I see though is how much influence Noel had on LAG songs and vice versa. How good or bad those songs would have been without them being released by Oasis.
