YES! I've been waiting for this thread the whole year!

It's been a great music year this year for me again and saw many bands, but didn't go any gigs abroad this year, so my list is only for Amsterdam/Utrecht.

1. Weller - Paradiso

My 9th Weller solo gig and it was the best Weller gig I've been to. 2 hous including 4 encores, Weller self said that it was one of his best gigs. Also my friends from England joined me and they loved it too.

2. Johnny Marr - Tolhuis Tuin (Paradiso North)

I've seen my forever guitar hero 3 times before - once with Modest Mouse and twice with The Cribs, but this was my first ever solo gig by him. Johnny was in full of energy.

3. Moz - TivoliVredenburg

4 days earlier than Johnny and my 4th Moz gig. Just fantastic.
I would have gone to my 5th Moz gig tomorrow in Tilburg, but it has been postponed to next year.

4. The Rifles - Bitterzoet

Still underrated, yet truly great band. You gotta see them live at least once.
I saw them in an another venue 2 weeks ago again, but this gig at Bitterzoet was better.

5. Erland and The Carnival - Paradiso (upstairs hall)

I discovered them at London Calling in 2010 and fell in love with their music, but had to wait for 4 years to be able to see them again. Erland Cooper is a very taltented young musician.

6. Echo and The Bunnymen - Tivoli Oudegracht

It was one of the "farewell venue gigs" as Tivoli Oudegracht closed their door in the end of May.
Many bands which have ever played in the venue played once again.
I've seen Weller, Kasabian, BRMC, Tame Impala and more in this venue, so have a quite many great memories.

7. Manic Streed Preachers - Paradiso

What can I say? The good old Manics again and Nicky didn't wear a skirt this time!

8. Temples - Bitterzoet

My 3rd Temples gig. I saw them at Eurosonic in January last year for the first time, then at Ekko for the second time in November last year. Their live performance is getting better and better.

9. The Strypes - Melkweg (oudezaal)

I was impressed with their performance and really enjoyed the gig.

10. The Specials - TivoliVredenburg

Fun, fun, fun and dance, dance and dance.
