What brilliant ideas do you have for Noel for the next two months until the 2nd single?
We're just supposed to wait here and tell all our passive friends to "stay excited…the other Oasis brother is coming soon!"
Twats.

Are we going to spend the next 4 months or so complaining about Ignition, promotion and all that? It's so fucking annoying to wait months for an album, it's not like I'm happy with that, but they know what they're doing

The goal of promotion is to sell concert tickets and so far thats going pretty well. Ignition/Sour Mash/Noel Gallagher dont give a flying fuck how the singles/album chart or if some spotty teenagers are getting impatient on an internet forum. Youtube views and viral marketing are far more important than both chart positions and album sales.
True story.

Could everyone just chill out. It's hardly been a catastrophe.
Noel released a single that even he thinks is good but "a throwaway". Which was probably middle ground because he would have preferred to have released it earlier but it wasn't possible. If he'd been able to release in October I think this single wouldn't exist personally. So they released a taster to be nice and nothing but fucking complaining about the timing. They could have sat on the whole thing for another 2 1/2 months and not given us anything until January when they started the proper singles. Then you all would have complained even more.
If he expects to sell anything outside the UK they need to make dozens of deals around the world for distribution and promotion. Plus organize a tour. Meanwhile they are managing the BHN release...and since according to Noel it's the same office looking after both and they are probably not a massive organization you can forgive them for needing a bit of time to get it sorted out. Otherwise Noel would get an actually seriously mismanaged release from an office stretched too thin which no one wants
Noel fortunately isn't an artists that needs to release quick because he'll lose momentum. It's been 3 years since the album and having an extra couple month before the album drops is hardly going to result in people forgetting who he is. lol. He's been around and successful for 20 years.
Noel isn't BDI who were so shitty about promoting their own band. He's got intelligence about this kind of stuff and a history of success both solo and as a member of Oasis. I feel like some of this criticism is hangover from BDI's releases being so badly received
This album may not sell like HFB1. In fact it probably won't. HFB1 was exceptional. If it were so easy to replicate the album reception and WAL's success then it wouldn't have been some amazing that they happened in the first place. It's not necessarily going to be anyone's fault.
The fortunate thing is that Noel has room to have a smaller album and still be a big success
If Noel experiences the same drop-off in interest as BDI he will STILL go platinum. Everyone just relax and listen to something else for a month. Nothing bad has happened.
He got a top 40 single which is pretty good considering the promotional effort wasn't massive. Yeah it dropped off quickly. But so didn't most HFB/Oasis singles. He and artists like him are stronger on albums and less strong on singles and the preorder for the is up so it's all good

it's not like they owe us anything. the only people who are crazy about the album right now are people like us, big noel fans - and they don't need to keep momentum with us.
there's no logical sense to be promoting the album right now. it was announced to early and they've already sold out every gig that has been announced. they just need to go back promoting it by mid/late january, when i believe Mighty I will be released and the whole interview tour/articles on magazines will begin. that would be the right way to promote it, i guess.
it's sad for us, diehard fans, but it's time to quit moaning and blaming the management for not being promoting an album which will be out in almost four months.
Again: they don't owe us anything.

Um did you ever think for the briefest second that it may be NOEL who doesn't want to do anything until he has to? Who the fuck cares? He's got a new album in a few months and will be doing a massive tour. If the guy wants to lay back for a few months before its nothing but hectic, so be it.

eva and myself don't give a shit about the promoting, or the marketing, or the charting; we just wanna hear the magic on those tapes, and get high and inspired by it. Gracias.
