Don't know if anyone here is a fan... If i had to describe them they're like Temples and Tame Impala except can be a bit heavier at times and more pop!!
Here is a few of my favourite tunes by them..

I loved their second album and I've seen them at London Calling last year, but I was so disappointed in their live performance. Nothing could compare to the album. I'm sorry to say this, jakob.
I've seen Tame Impala and Temples (3 times) too and Tame Impala were the best live from all 3 bands you mentioned, jakob.

If they came to town i'd still see them to experience it but would go with low expectations. Yeah i've seen Temples and Tame Impala (god knows how many times) this is because they live around the corner from me and im friends with people are close to the band so i get free tix to their secret shows that they play here in Perth. I love Tame Impala and am awaiting their third album

One of the best and most underrated bands around. Stunning guitar work on their stuff. How Can U Luv Me is still one of the best songs of the past 5 years. The bassline is absolutely killer. I love psychedelic and lofo music so UMO is right up my alley. That's funny mimmihopps I haven't seen Temples but I've seen Tame Impala and UMO one time each. Even though Tame Impala is the the better band I thought UMO was better live. Guess they each had off nights.

I saw Tame Impala in July 2011 in a small venue, so it's more than 3 years ago and I couldn't make it when they played in Paradiso last year. You'll enjoy Temples live, but by seeing them 3 times, I didn't bother to go to see them again next week. As I respect your music taste highly Cast, I might give UMO one more try when they play here next time.

You have one of the best and most diverse tastes on here. Now that I think about it, Tame Impala's set was at a festival. Sometimes those performances can be hit and miss because of the crazy scheduling and disorganization behind the scenes.

Now something about an another band (my apologize jakob), what do you think of Allah-Las? I haven't listened to their albums yet, but only singles and demo's. I quite liked some songs, but they're slightly not "strong" enough to make me want to see them live.

I'm not a massive fan of Allah-Las but if they were at a festival in town i'd definitely check them out. They have a good sound but im not sure if their songs are amazing. Mimmi if you like these bands may i suggest if you haven't already to listen to Pond. It's basically tame impala in different form. I've seen them 3 times including most recently supporting Arctic Monkeys. More intense sounding than Tame Impala.

Their first album is a really nice collection of easy going reverb drenched garage rock. Two years after its release I still consistently play it. It isn't going to blow you away but the songs are really strong and it has a nice easy flow. Not a bad one on the record. I like to play it all the way through but the highlights for me include: Catamaran, Busman's Holiday, Ela Navega, Vis-A-Vis, Long Journey. It is a really enjoyable album. Their newest record Worship the Sun came out this year. It has the same feel as their first one but the songs aren't as poppy. Its a littler druggier and moodier. It may sound the same as their first from a production standpoint but it isn't a rehash. It is subtly different. I saw them live at a festival. They were pretty solid. Didn't amazing me or anything but I don't think they are trying too. They happened to be the first band that I caught. It was a nice way to break in the festival. I'm not gonna call them a great band but they are a very good one. Their great at what they do, if that makes any sense.

Thanks for recommendation, jakob61907. I'm always hungry for good music and I can say that I'm pretty open for new music/bands, so defintely gonna check them out. Cast, I'm going to check Allah-La's albums. And you're very right saying that I have a diverse taste in music. I love The Smiths, The Jam (and Weller), Oasis, Moz, Johnny, The Stone Roses, but I also love Sigur Ros, The National, Damien Rice, Patti Smith, Kate Bush and a lot more. My current most favourite band since 2007 are The Twilight Sad. I love their darkness, beautiness and dramatic without non-sense what they put in their music. I love this section of this forum.
