According to Noel's Interview for Q HFB1 sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. That's what they say

I can say I sold 10 million albums, but that doesn't make it true.

According to Noel's Interview for Q HFB1 sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. That's what they say I still doubt it. When last album cycle ended he had around 1.2-1.4 million sales. I don't see how he picked up another million worldwide sales without anyone bating an eyelash or him not going to triple platinum in his biggest market.

Might be closer to 2 million if you include single sales. I still think 2.5 is a stretch.
I think that sometimes they group all releases related to an album including single together to inflate the numbers of the album sales.
It could be inflated if they are just tracking shipping worldwide.
Or Q could have just been lazy and wikipedia'd the number.

Maybe the 2.5 million is the combined amount of singles and albums that's come off the production line and not what's actually been sold in retail
