Does anyone have any up to date sales figures, on Wikipedia it says as of January 2013 it had sold 739,000 in the UK. There must have been a slight push in the last month since the announcement?

I just googled it and came across a few websites that said it sold 770.000 copies as of october 2014. I don't know if that's right and if those websites are reliable though.

According to Wikipedia HFB1 sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. Plus, both What a Life and TDOYAM sold 200,000 copies.

Though I agree with you, charts don't necessarily go together with a specific amount of sales. Wonderwall reached #2 for instance but it sold more than a few of their #1s combined.
HFB peaked at #11 here. Don't know what that means. We only have 17 million people. #11 over here means something conpletely different from being #11 in the USA for instance.

Yes but sure he charted at around 25 in the U.s the dropped out the charts in a few weeks anyway. There is certification (ie gold silver platinum etc) for charts easily available and it doesn't near 1.5 million sales out side the u.k not even close

I think that the worldwide sales were closer to 1.5 million than 2.5 million.

Yeah, closer to 3 million copies I've read before, definitely shifted way more than Dig Out Your Soul.
Whatever, it was very impressive for Noel, especially in this digital age, way better than expected.

The 2.5 million figure is probably just for shipments Purely (which often gets confused with actual sales). 1.5 million sounds more realistic.

I don't get the hype and interest in sales in the internet era. Sure, it's nice to see Noel sell 1 million albums in such an era, but obviously that number is so drastically lower than the real number of people who have his album (via "illegal" downloads).
Practically anything from 2002 onwards is pointless regarding album sales.....
