He did the Victoria Secret commercial in the US and he also sold The Roller to grocery stores in the US. At least in Illinois. I hear it all the time in Jewel Osco. Does he get paid mad money?

He prob got a nice little check for Hung In A Bad Place appearing in that Victoria's Secret ad. No idea about grocery store music.

"... in the US, when the Ad or TV show or Movie is publicly performed on TV (i.e. it’s broadcast), a performance royalty is generated for the writer and publisher of the song (often the same person). The performer (i.e. the person on the master) sees none of this performance royalty."
And apparently you also need a "master license" to use an existing song in an advert, and the fee for such a license is negotiable, so I guess we'll never know how much he gets/got.

Gem is a great guy. I think he'll be on the HFB tour. Noel isn't going to make the same mistake twice.

What exactly would Gem bring to the table? Guitar work? Noel will survive and thrive regardless. I like Gem but adding Gem isn't a must.

I don't dislike him but the way he talks in this spiritual metaphoric way does my nut. I'm surprised it didn't wind liam up. Maybe it did and that's why the split haha

I wonder how rich Gem actually is, he must be a millionaire right? Good question. I have no idea what Gem made during the Oasis tours nor his share in HC, DBTT or DOYS. Gotta be close right?

Album sales were lower, so were single placings. For a time they were also playing to smaller capacities. Also, those tours were years apart. So the question is really, how much he made and how much he had to spend between tours when he wasn't earning a paycheck. Then how much of what was remaining he was able to save. Those don't make for large savings. But who knows, maybe he invested his money well enough. But I doubt he made say what Alan White made during his time in Oasis when they were playing max capacities and selling boatloads of records with the biggest singles. Would have been difficult for Gem to do that in the post 2000 Oasis. In the end, I think he's worth 1 or 2 million.

That's why when Oasis split, I thought it was smart of Andy and Gem to carry on with Liam. They could contribute songs/singles and perform on multiple tours. If Gem went with Noel he would be nothing more than a hired gun making money per gig played. I hope Gem ends up in a good place. At least Andy has potential Ride money to fall back on. Nobody is clamouring for a Heavy Stereo reunion.

I think he is a millionaire, but no multimillionaire. Not like 20 million or something
It's difficult to compare him to Alan White, because he was the drummer and didn't write anything. They did play their largest gigs and were the most succesful during that period but who knows. I have absolutely no idea how much you earn with writing a song.
What I do know is that Gem and Andy got a very low wage when they just started touring with Oasis. Standard session players wage or something. I believe it was £85 a gig or something. Have no idea how much they earned later on.

8 years in Oasis, sold out tours and big arenas, festivals... Dont worry about him. Exactly. If you're officially a part of a band/brand as big as Oasis (for 9 years as well) then you're bank account must have at least 7 digits in it, unless you have a serious drug problem. To have a job in the music industry isn't the richest profession in the world, especially if you're in a band and you aren't the lead songwriter, but Gem should have a fair amount of change in his account.

8 years in Oasis, sold out tours and big arenas, festivals... Dont worry about him. Exactly there was a lot of rumours at the time they got paid £2 million just for playing Leeds reading in 2000. Oasis sold ALOT of tickets 2000-2009. Even the DOYs stadium tour would've grossed the band over 20 million just on ticket sales for that one leg of the tour.

One of the best shows of all time. I miss it, so many great characters and cameos. Hopefully it'll continue to be a cult classic. Rarely a bad episode and it has will ferrell's best character.

I know that Gem wrote it. But they shared songwriting credits. I would think they also all share songwriting royalties in that case as well.
