Yes it sure would. He should do at least a couple dates on their upcoming USA summer world tour. It's rumored U2 will be playing arenas this time around which is perfect for Noel.

I would hate for that to happen and was thinking about it not so long ago, I think it will happen though.

I don't see how any fan wouldn't want Noel to play with what is undoubtedly one of the biggest groups in music.
Noel and Bono supposedly are friends anyway and the exposure (particularly in america) would be brilliant

Please don't cos I don't want to see Noel playing at Amsterdam Arena. Why not? I don't like to see bands in a huge venue/arena. It's just not my thing. I've been to Amsterdam Arena for the Arena Tour with my friend from England twice. I've seen Oasis at Heineken Music Hall in 2005 and 2009. The capacity of HMH is 5500. I've seen The Who at Ziggo Dome last year, but I much prefer to see bands in small venues.

I've heard the sound is pretty bad in the Amsterdam Arena.

Amsterdam Arena wasn't built for concerts. HMH has a good sound quality, but all those barries are not my thing.

I think it will happen. Noel always said he would tour with U2, and U2 thanked him on the last album.

Noel was in the studio with U2 when they made their album, heard it well before anyone else.
Might have something lined up as he's good friends with Bono, and it would be nice for a few dates as they are the biggest live act in the world and this new album will probably be downsized to arenas (touring stadiums with the next album in 2016 allegedly), but I'd much rather see Noel carve out his own live performances which he seems to be doing very well on his own so far.

I think it's be a good idea. He could tour with them for a leg or 2 then hopefully go around and do his own shows as well.
I think he'd have a good time doing it. I imagine it would only be for a leg on two if it happened. Not extended touring. It would do him good to increase his exposure in Europe and the USA. But I can't help but think that, particularly in the US, wouldn't U2 go with a band with bigger exposure?

I know it was a co-headlining, not supporting, but we can surely agree U2 would be better than Snow Patrol!

I think, in the US, it would be a great idea for Noel. He can still do his own shows there as well but it'd be great exposure for him to play before U2.
There's no need to do it on this side of the Atlantic though (unless it was stadium gigs).

Might be good for Noel but honestly I'd rather it not happen.
If I go see NG I want it to be at a Noel concert not at a U2 concert that Noel happens to be playing at.

U2 usually tours forever and ever with multiple USA legs. Noel could easily complete his 10-12 USA tour and then months later return to America and do another 8-10 gigs opening for U2. That's how I'd like to see it happen. Especially since I'll prob see U2 down the road. Double the Noel action. 8- * Granted this is an American perspective.
