I was vaguely familiar with the band pre-BE, but when I learned Dave Sitek was producing BE, I went back and looked through their albums and discovered they have some pretty good music. I just learned not long ago that finally another album is coming out, after a long hiatus following a band members death.
Anyone here familiar with the band, follow the music?
The two new singles are pretty catchy.

I highly recommend Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, Return to Cookie Mountain and Dear Science. My all-time favorite song by them is "Staring At The Sun". I still can't get over the great energy on their Letterman appearance back in 2006. Simply awesome.

I also really like DLZ which wasn't even a single, but featured on Breaking Bad in a cool scene. Desperate Youths, Blood Thirsty Babes is probably my favorite album of theirs.

Staring at the sun is one of my old time favorites That sound they bring to their music, I don't really have the word to describe it, but it's nothing like I've heard from anyone else. Staring At The Sun is their Wonderwall or Live Forever, so to speak. It defines their direction and what you can expect to hear from the other tracks.

So the album leaked. Listening now. Really enjoying it. It's pretty different from what they've done before.

Finally giving this album a complete listen from start to finish. I'm halfway through it and I am ENJOYING every second of it. Sonically it is a real treat. It really is. Lots of hooks there. Test Pilot, Right Now, Happy Idiot, Seeds, Trouble, Careful You...I turned bits of these into ringtones, just can't stop listening to them. I still hate the intro of Quartz, but after that intro, I like it. I'd say the weakest song for me is either Winter or Loved Stained.

I've been searching for any recordings or rips from the vinyl album which included the bonus tracks Nobody Else and Mystery Eyes. I didn't find the full songs, but here are previews. turntablelab.com/products/tv-on-the-radio-seeds-colored-vinyl-free-mp3-vinyl-2lp

Chasing Yesterday vs Seeds
Honestly, I think currently I have to go with Seeds. Both are fantastic, but Seeds was a big surprise for me. Then again, I still need to properly listen to Chasing Yesterday in good quality and for about a solid week or more before I decide for sure.
