I would add You Never Give Me Your Money and Dear Prudence, as personal favorites. Hard to stop at five.

Something and Strawberry Fields Forever are my personal favourites. I also rate A Day In The Life very high.
Couldn't pick 5. There are like 30 songs that could have a shared 4th place.

My personal favourite is We Can Work It Out,
it a perfect example of the Lennon/McCartney songwriting partnership, McCartney's upbeat optimism twinned with Lennon's much darker, pessimism. Great tune,
Also a big fan of She's So Heavy (I want You), Dear Prudence, Blackbird, For No One, Here, There and Everywhere, I could go on and on and on

I've went through a Beatles marathon these last few days.
I've re-listened to all the albums (except The White Album, I was listening two weeks ago, and Beatles For Sale), in chronological order.
It was a quite treat to listen to all of them. There were some songs I hadn't heard in 2 years. So if I have to do a top 10, as for today:
1. A Day In The Life 2. Strawberry Fields Forever 3. I'm The Walrus 4. Eleanor Rigby 5. Dear Prudence 6. In My Life 7. Hey Jude 8. Something 9. Ticket To Ride 10.Penny Lane
And of course, at least 40 other songs that could find a place on there. They were from an other planet.

Oh and I still hate how The White Album ends. Seriously, ending with Cry Baby Cry would have been perfect, but no, you have two of the worst pieces of music the band ever produced, after it. Fuckin' hell !

Fuckin' hell ! What? Good Night is fucking awesome. I've always hated it. It's one of the very few songs I hate from the Beatles late era. Normally, I'm a sucker for beautiful classical orchestrations, but on "Good Night", it sounds like a parody of a parody, like a Disney song.

It probably wouldn't break my top 50. ----- This list of songs seems pretty random. Was there any particular reason why you choose these specific tracks?

Was there any particular reason why you choose these specific tracks? It's a weird list. If he would have picked an album, or all singles or something that would've made more sense. Where's Penny Lane? Rain? Tomorrow Never Knows? Blackbird? It's so hard as they've got so many (quality) songs though.
