Thanks for being adamant. I'm not sure what kind of promotion you think it would take for him to play more than ~ 1500-3,000 seat venues in the US but it will never happen. He's a 50 year old guy from the UK from some band that most here have never even heard of. The time has LONG passed. Not like the US was EVER really a "strong" market for even Oasis. They played 16-18k basketball arenas at BEST in most markets (with of course- crucially- a relatively small number of regional dates) and there were PLENTY of seats left in almost all of them. I know because I was there. That said, he'll sell out or nearly sell out his 15-20 dates and 40,000 tickets over the next 3-4 months because they're stretched out over a massive country with 320 million people and there's an appropriate number of people who will pay $60-$80 to see him. It's not that it ("promotion") doesn't matter at ALL...it's just that it doesn't matter a whole lot at this stage of the game with an artist who's been making music for 20+ years. I'd take the time to explain why his outfit spends 95% of their time pushing him in the UK/Europe, but I can't be bothered at the moment. Be happy you can seem him at all here-- never mind in these relatively tiny venues. It suits him, his music, his popularity, and his fan base, perfectly, actually. One, where in my posts did I say I wanted him to play to more than 3k people in my post? Nowhere. I'd like him to fill the gigs he has. That's what my post was about. Noel did a lot of good things here. Pushed a single specifically for America, did listening parties with american press, did a shit ton of interviews, played the venues and areas he knew he could fill and the more random locales did a double headliner act. My issue, is that he's clearly over extended himself and not done anything to sell those gigs. Which you would know if you had read my post. It's not about playing to 20k people. It's about not being beady eye and having sustainable tours here. But if he's playing to half filled theaters then that helps no one. Certainly didn't help me, who as you said, should be happy I get these gigs. Still waiting on that beady eye gig for the BE tour. Cause you know, everyone in American is guaranteed a show and has no reason to complain. But I'm glad that your glad that I'm adamant. But next time I think you should take a little bit more time to read and create a more well rounded post instead of trying to begin one cleverly. Then I'd actually be responding to something that was about what argued. But I'm glad you accept my adamancy. Lmao- so many straw-men to burn, so little time. More well-rounded post? Sorry, you didn't leave much to offer any kind of rounding. I of course don't expect him to play venues larger than he's booked because I have a functioning brain- nice fail on a futile attempt to take something I said out of context and try to misrepresent what the clear meaning really was: that no amount of "promotion" is really (read: significantly) going to affect who's going to attend a Noel Gallagher concert in the US. Comically, it's months before the tour dates and you're postulating that these theaters will be "half full". That of course will not happen- and crucially- won't be improved or degraded significantly by "promotion" for the reasons I've already detailed. I read and comprehend fine, thanks. Maybe I'll see you at the half-filled Milwaukee and Chicago dates, lmao.

And you're misusing the term straw man, but you keep going with it. Which probably proves you don't comprehend. Do you actually know what a straw man argument is? Or did you just read that and thought that'd be good to drop in a debate that you clearly incorrectly responded to, but don't want to admit to.

Did any one who ordered tickets for the Toronto shows on Noel's website get their tickets yet? Haven't received them yet. I received the tickets I ordered off of Ticketmaster though.

The policy of the company that sells the tickets from Noel's site is different than ticketmaster. They mail out the tickets two weeks before the event. That cuts it pretty tight for me as I'm flying in from Winnipeg.

You got got someone to go with? I'm solo driving up from Houston and bought a seat in row G on the right, I'm willing to pay big for a front row pit chair though! The Livenation seating map showed the pit as a seated section. Sorry, but yes I do have someone going with me. If for some reason they should cancel, I'll definitely let you know via direct message. cool man thanks!

Has anyone been to a gig at Webster Hall before? I've been there several times. Nice little venue near the NYU area. Great ramen spot around the corner. General admission, maybe holds 2,000.

Has anyone been to a gig at Webster Hall before? Many times. Its alright. There's a bottleneck at the back in between the bar and merch table (stage right) that gets insanely crowded so its worth arriving a bit early so as not to be stuck there. Its in a good area though, lots of good bars/restaurants and shit, then again its walking distance to Union Square so that pretty much goes without saying. Its not a favorite venue by any stretch, but its better than some. Going 4/23 to the Manics there too. No worries about seats for this one. All GA. Thank fuck.

See you guys in Cleveland. Can't even begin to describe how excited I am that he's playing a GA venue. Never thought it would happen, really. This is going to be amazing.

Hello all, posted in the Hello forum. Long time reader, new poster. Just curious if anyone is going to the San Francisco show as I'll be there solo this time. Would be nice to meet some other Oasis/NGHFB fans.

Is there any ohter presale than that for citi card members? Nope. Just the regular onsale now. Ticketfast rarely have presales as it is. Probably no more than 10-15% of the tickets were even available today.
