So what time should I arrive at the lincoln theatre in DC for first five or so rows? Doors open at 630 .. I thinking around 2? To early? To late? Not quite the same crowd volume.. but I remember back in 08 I went to the virgin music festival in Toronto. Oasis were due to be on at 8:00. I got there at 12 and slowly moved my way up as crowds dispersed throughout the day. By 8 I was about equivalent to 4th row. For this show I'd say 2:00-3:00 would be fine I was wondering the same thing. (If I do get tickets for DC this Friday) I'm definitely gonna try and get there decently early so I can try and get front row to the show. I guess around 2 or so should be good

I got row N in the center. My problem is that I had to buy two. I don't think I could get better than that on Friday.

In DC. :)

Ugh, maybe I'm getting old, but I'm not standing in lines for hours and then trampling people to get up close to the stage. I might show up at 8pm and just saunter upstairs to the balcony…

Well good thing is we will probably meet noel when he comes to the venue.. last couple times I've met him before the show.. he usually gets there a couple hours before the door opens for his sound check.. Guess I'll show up at 2 ... so no opening act.. does that mean we should expect a 2 hour set?

That said, if it's a room full of guys/gals like me, we're not trampling and pushing anyone. I'll settle into some decent location and be happy to be in the building.

That really sucked the Toronto date going on sale early. I was online at 0955 and the tickets were gone by then. At least there are a couple more presales tomorrow. I tried right at 10:00 with no luck...kept trying for about 10 minutes and got a pair in HH.

Seats at a rock and roll show defeat the purpose. GA lets the wackos who desperately feel the need to be right at the rail or stage's edge and stand on line for 8 hours to do so, to do that. I'd rather have the freedom to move around, go refill my beer etc than be encumbered by seats in a theatre. If there are seats, Id rather them be assigned than GA though. I see your point. I do like seats because, I don't have to show up really early nor stand in a long line because I have a reserved seat. Also avoid people swaying around. I went to Pulps last reunion in Sheffield and got really close but it nearly turnedf into a mash pit. I am there to listen to the music not get pushed around Heh are you English? The few shows Ive been to in the UK were almost entirely rambunctious so I can understand your viewpoint in a sense if thats the case. I havent been to a show in the states where that was a problem in a long time and I average a few per week depending on time of year from small holes in the wall to arenas. I find most GA crowds for the acts I want to go see are mostly respectful in terms of space, unless you're a short person and thats just something that cant be helped. Ive seen acts like Arctic Monkeys and even heavier acts than them in smallish venues and never dealt with moshers or dumb fucks aside from the occasional one. My biggest annoyance at gigs are motherfuckers who TALK incessantly the entire set and thats going to happen regardless if its seated or GA.

Posted this on the other US Tour 2015 thread, but I'll post here since this seems more lively But.. On average, how much should be budgeted/put away for tickets, let's say before the pre-sale and what not, in order to get good seats at a venue in a place like Minneapolis-St. Paul or Winnipeg, without paying ridiculous prices? I'm rather curious about it, and thought I'd ask!

All someone would need to know is that he performed a set that featured Fade Away, Freaky Teeth, Alone on the Rope, A Simple Game of Genius, Digsy's Dinner, and Shout it Out Loud, and it turned out great.

Heard this same list myself tonight minus STL but it's entirely possible the person I spoke to just didn't remember that from the itinerary they had access to

Encore: Shout It Out Loud Digsy's Dinner (full band electric) DLBIA I was blown away. That set list... Hard to found words. Shout It Out Loud was just so amazing. Digsy's blew the roof off. People were going menthal. Hope he throws in some surprises this TCT aswell. He will for sure play Fade Away.

when should we expect philly/nyc dates? will we be notified for pre-sale on these gigs? We'll hear about them if/when they're official. There's not any ral evidence at the moment that they'll even be happening outside of the Governor's Ball. And yes obviously we'll be notified that he's planning more shows that he probably wants to sell tickets for.
