yeah, I had the same experience for Boston, idledreamer. I got on right at 10am and had the ability to choose the $75 tickets, but then when I clicked on the drop down it said there weren't any...
I'm assuming that the general public sale will have some tix, or you could pay a fortune through the stubhubs, etc of the world.
disappointing.

The Warner is a LiveNation venue. The Lincoln is an IMP venue. IMP must have outbid LN for the DC show.

I mean, that happens at most concerts, but for sure there will be seats in the upper sections. Unfortunately, I was 3rd row, center stage, when NG was at the Wang in 2011, so I was spoiled with great seats. As much as I hate to do it, I may bite the bullet and buy from a ticket agency. The fact that he only comes around every few years makes it sorta worth the huge mark up. sorta.

It's like hardcore fans betraying hardcore fans.

It just stinks to know that they won't be amazing seats. Opera House is a decent venue, though, you really would be pressed to find a bad seat there.

New Orleans presale only had gen adm floor available. The venue's balcony seats are great though, esp sound wise. Wonder why they were only doing floor? Bummer. Gonna have to go back at it Friday.

Gah, is Toronto sold out? I'm clicking the buy tickets link and it just forwards to the venue website, which is not selling general tickets until Friday. This is odd. In other words, it loads a NGHFB site link for half a second and then redirects to the venue's site--who is not yet selling tickets.

Was thinking about why he didn't come back to Warner in DC, but, I do remember that place having some empty seats in the balcony and it only holds 1800. Lincoln does 1200. 930 Club is 1200, too. Also, good gracious, it was $192 for 2 tickets at Warner in the orchestra section. I was in the balcony and it was full.

Anyone get tickets for Toronto?? I kept refreshing the page looking for tickets in the orchestra and it kept saying can't find seats. After 10 minutes I happened to check my cart and two balcony seats were sitting there. I took them but I was hoping for better seats. Hopefully tomorrow's presale will work be more successful for everyone! The page was pretty screwed up.

For San Francisco I got Orchestra Center Row B. Looks like great seats. Tickets were only available for a couple of minutes right at 10:00.

Was there in the orchestra and saw empty seats when I looked back, maybe people moved around, I guess. I remember a quote where someone said to Noel "You made it!" or "You're doing great!" in reference to I dunno, playing a good gig, selling some solo tickets, etc, and his reply was "No, look at the balcony!" (Someone surely has the direct quote). If that's not true, yikes, that's 600 less people that can get in.

If you're trying to purchase tickets in a presale and strike out, don't worry too much. Presales are generally garbage. Venues/acts are only allowed a small # of tickets for them so they go quick or it seems like there's nothing but garbage. Case in point, last time around we got garbage on the presale for the first Noel show at the Beacon in NYC, but got front row on the general sale which obviously was a huge surprise considering the venue/city. I find typically as I go to a shit ton of gigs that waiting for general sales is almost always the best bet, unless the entire venue is GA. If its seated, general is the best bet. Presales are good if its all GA though, just to get done with the whole annoyance of ticket purchasing.
And that DC show sounds like a huge clusterfuck. Seating in general for a rock show is blah, but GA seats is even worse.

Not quite the same crowd volume.. but I remember back in 08 I went to the virgin music festival in Toronto. Oasis were due to be on at 8:00. I got there at 12 and slowly moved my way up as crowds dispersed throughout the day. By 8 I was about equivalent to 4th row. For this show I'd say 2:00-3:00 would be fine

GA lets the wackos who desperately feel the need to be right at the rail or stage's edge and stand on line for 8 hours to do so, to do that. I'd rather have the freedom to move around, go refill my beer etc than be encumbered by seats in a theatre. If there are seats, Id rather them be assigned than GA though.

I do like seats because, I don't have to show up really early nor stand in a long line because I have a reserved seat. Also avoid people swaying around. I went to Pulps last reunion in Sheffield and got really close but it nearly turnedf into a mash pit. I am there to listen to the music not get pushed around

Toronto only had a few rows in the presale. Managed to snag one dead-centre a few rows from the stage, so I'm satisfied.
