Sometimes it freaks you out when you feel you're not as into a band as you used to be - you get that awful sick feeling when you realise how much cash you've shelled out on all their singles... but keep in mind that it's probably just a phase. Like depression - you'll come out of it!!
Try to think of Oasis less as one big thing - pick an obscure b-side, listen to it & you'll remember how much there is to Oasis besides all the obvious main stuff. I just find that if I think of Oasis as how much I love 'Listen Up' or 'Angel Child', instead of generalising & thinking of the blockbuster albums, that brings me back to earth.
Jesus, I locked my entire Oasis collection in the back of my cupboard for about 6 years after the release of BHN - missed SOTSOG and a bloody Australian tour for HC. Then it all slowly came back & it's stronger than ever - I'm too far the other way now to go back - it's a part of my teenage years & it will always be nostalgic now. It means too much to me for me to reject it all again.
God, this morning I was charging up Edinburgh's Leith Walk on my way to work to the sound of DBTT on my ipod like a madwoman! It was fucking monumental! I'll never go back.
..............You're right, this is like a therapy session!

I don't know why but looking at other bands (I.E. Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Modest Mouse, Kasabian) it seems they don't really want to be so great at what they do. The setlists, the simple instrumentation, the rare crowd interaction,
