So apparently the track listing for Noel's New Album 'Chasing Yesterday' is:
'Riverman' 'In The Heat Of The Moment' 'The Girl With X-Ray Eyes' 'Lock All The Doors' 'The Dying Of The Light' 'The Right Stuff' 'While The Song Remains The Same' 'The Mexican' 'You Know We Can't Go Back' 'Ballad Of The Mighty I'
Apart from 'The Dying of the Light', not a lot of stuff I expected to see on here. Disappointed not to see Freaky Teeth or Just let it come down over me, but excited to hear a lot of new stuff. Wondering if 'While The Song Remains The Same' could be a new name for 'Revolution Song/When I Solve My Mystery?' It fits the chorus line nicely.
Anyway, what does everyone else think?

Revolution song is going to be on the Deluxe album, so no. Lots of new song, loving it. The Dying of the Light is apparently "grandiose" so I'm very much looking forward to that. Ballad of the Mighty I (single 2) also looks promising, I quite like the title! (First thought it was one, while it's actually "I" )

I wish god help us all and come on outside was on it. Would you not rather have two brand new songs that may be better than those two? That's the way I look at it man

The only tracks I wanted to be on the album from the bunch we heard were: The Dying Of The Light: And it is. Of course it fucking is. [Maybe!]: That 5-10 second clip we heard. Maybe it is? We don't know the title. Come On Outside: Nope. Where u go 'Come On Outside' *crycrylikelittlejapanesegirlcrycry* Like I said on the other thread though, If the other 10 songs are stronger, not one shit will be given. I already consider the 2 songs we've heard 'The Dying Of The Light' & 'In The Heat Of The Moment' to be, so good start. But knowing Noel's skills in picking a track list I'm not yet convinced all will be. We. Shall. See. On another note, I do quite like the track titles. Looking forward to hearing 'The Girl With X-Ray Eyes'.

Don't Stop The Happening Shame. Maybe he changed the name again? If he doesn't put it on the second album, not even as a bonus track, that song might just be finished :/

When you look at the main track listing (not the bonus) noel has pretty much hit us with everything brand new. Which I am glad for...
revolution song and Freaky teeth are on the bonus and will finally have an official release.
However Remember noel released original 3 songs on the besides of TDOY&M, WAL & IIHAG
There were 5 singles from the last album. I Bet my left bollock the B sides to these coming singles from the new album will be some if not all of:
Come on outside God help us all O Lord She must be one of us Just let it come down over me Don't stop being happy
The 7" vinyl of In the heat of the moment is already available for pre order... Something has to be on the flipside. And I can't see a remix being on there

I'm hoping they keep it a surprise and we're getting three songs. But I don't think they did that in 2011.

I'm guessing now that Disc 2 of the album is kinda gonna be like the Songs from the great white North EP from the last one... All the bsides. Oh well, We'll always have slower than the speed of Magic

Glad we don't have Come On Outside. It's really needless - its a throwback to Dig Out Your Soul and is far too similar to many of the tunes on that one.
Time to look forward.

I just wish it were finished and released. I don't care in what fashion. Put it in as a b-side or as a promotional song. I can't look forward till those strings are released.

I'll be gutted if we don't get anything beyond the 14 tracks on the deluxe version. That kinda ruined it for me with BE

It is, but hey, what does that make Lock All The Doors? Time to look forward sounds, funnily enough, pretty ironic considering the album is called Chasing Yesterday btw.

Its hard to have any real thought about the tracklisting. Obviously the songs that have already been heard will be interesting to hear how he's molded them properly, but w/e. Nice there's no weird "AKA" styled songs this record.
I don't dislike the single, but the na na na's are grating. Feels like a needless addition.
Still awaiting "The Orangutan And The Pink Rifle".

Absolutely - if the rest of the album is good enough, that is. ITHOTM is definitely a better choice. Still could have been a really really great b-side, it seems like such a waste to leave such a song (and Don't Stop Being Happy!) unreleased.
