For anyone who wanted something a bit heavier, yet more up-tempo, Noel was listening. I'm very happy with this happy. Noel has greatly improved as a producer. I feel like I want to really hear the album version. I think sound quality would be important on this track with so much happening. In the end, just like TDOYAM, it's a perfect introduction to Noel. Hopefully the album will be as varied as this song. I hope someone passes on this message to Noel, because in the Facebook session it sounds like he was somewhat annoyed at having to be producer. Someone needs to tell him that he's done a good job on this one.

I notice a grand total of f*ck all people moaning about the lack of a guitar solo.

I'm more on the opposite end. Didnt like the lyrics, the chorus and hated the nananas. But apparently my musical taste is different than yours, cause I loved death of you and me. Way better than this...

Loving it at first listen. The na na nas might sound weird but they are insanely catchy, sound and tempo are perfect, the verses sound classic Noel and the chorus is, again, catchy as hell. It's definitely not your run-of-the-mill If I Had A Gun or Wonderwall, more in the direction of What a Life but I think it's even better. Not what I expected at all, but if the album is like this with some acoustic stuff like TDOTL thrown in we're in for a treat.

Current rating: Somewhere between the greatest thing since sliced bread and Roll With It. Roll With It ain't too bad. Noel would kill for it now Just goes to show what I think of the new single. If Roll With It is the bottom of the scale, a tune I really enjoy. It's fun, like "In The Heat of The Moment".

It's refreshing. It doesn't plod. It's catchy. It's not over too soon, nor is it over too late. Perfection.

Worked out the rough chords so you can play along with it if you want, I'm sure someone will work out a more accurate version soon enough but here you go. Capo 2nd. B,Asus,C#Min7,F#Nana's F#,Asus,E,F#They tell me you've touched the face of god At the sound of a rope cracking on your neck They tell me you'd never give it up Like the song that was soul singing in your head So honey please don't let go Or you'll fall in to the dead of night So honey please don't let go B,Asus,C#Min7You've barely learnt to fly Cos their gonna point you up at the sky F#,Asus,E,BThe more that you want it The more that you need it I know that you'll be by my side In the heat of the moment When the thunder and lightning comes I know that you'll be by my side That loving man ain't no rolling stone At the sound of the drums I'm gonna set you free I talked to him on the telephone These are the words that he gave to me So honey please don't let go Or you'll fall in to the dead of night So honey please don't let go You've barely learnt to fly Cos their gonna point you up at the sky The more that you want it The more that you need it I know that you'll be by my side In the heat of the moment When the thunder and lightning comes I know that you'll be by my side x 3 Great job mate!! For the verse, I'd go with F# Asus B, but im still not sure.... Or if you try with capo on 4th fret goes like this: Intro: Asus G B7 Verse: Em G Asus Chorus: Em G D Asus (B7 on the last one)

The heavy guitar distortion really, really works in the verses (post 25 secs). Would love to here a more guitar based mix of it. It's how 90's Oasis would of done it for sure. Cheers man, just did a really quick take with my phone to get it up on Youtube before some fucker beat me to it after reading my tab I'm planning to do it properly with mic'd amps and shit and tart it up in Protools soon, I'll get it on here Not at all, I look forward to hearing it!

I like it. It sounds a bit different to the usual Noel songs. I hate when people on here say "imagine it with Liam singing". Liam's voice is poor nowadays. We're lucky that we're getting albums written and sung only by Noel. Liam at his peak was great but that's long gone.

flick of the finger > in the heat of the moment I would add... flick of the finger > in the heat of the moment > TDOYAM Don't think there is any need to compare tbh. I think it would prove unhelpful and irrelevant to the thread. Mainly because Beady Eye and Noel are following different musical paths these days.

Solid but unspectacular, hoping for more from the album. It's good to see Noel back though.
