His worst video ever. The song is boring and he even knows it! Noel hadn´t looked so miserable before. He and the management team should really move quickly to the second single.

the song's really grown on me.....I think it helps to listen to it at high volume and under the influence of horse tranquilizers.
God bless.

The video is so awful that I prefer the looped parody of Zoolander to this shit. Worst video since Some Might Say.

Well tbh i think Noel doesnt really like that song, it's been recorded last, coz you know, he had to have a catchy single. + a scrapped video + a shite video with Noel looking bored in it.
Smells management wanting him to release a WAL 2. I suspect the record will be different and less attractive to a wider audience than that In the Heat Of the Moment, which isnt one of Noel's best moment, i gotta say.

I suspect the record will be different and less attractive to a wider audience than that In the Heat Of the Moment, which isnt one of Noel's best moment, i gotta say. I'm pretty sure Noel really likes the song. Because who spends hours and money in the studio recording music they don't like? Anyways, he has specifically said that it wasn't the best song on the album. He actually seemed proud that it wasn't the best song on the album. Which seems like he's confident about overall quality of the album. He also said that the video was last minute because the other one was scrapped. People act like Noel is pulling tricks with this song. He's been completely open and honest about the song and video so far. And it's not like he cared about videos last album cycle. Lastly, we already know that Lock all the Doors and the Dying on the Light will be on the album. So, including the Heat of the Moment, there should be at least 3 songs on the album that have mass appeal.

''Because who spends hours and money in the studio recording music they don't like?'' well he has never been very enthusiastic about Sunday Morning Call and Who Feels Love for example.
Anyway, if this is the worst song of the album, the album must be amazing

''Because who spends hours and money in the studio recording music they don't like?'' well he has never been very enthusiastic about Sunday Morning Call and Who Feels Love for example. Anyway, if this is the worst song of the album, the album must be amazing Yea, years later. But at the time he was hailing that entire album. All I'm saying is looking at the interviews from last album cycle. It's not like he was bright and cheery. All he did was complain about how long he spent in the studio, barely offered any of the music praise in interviews, none of the it's my best work since such and such, looked uncomfortable in every early performance (especially in the first couple televized ones), looked like he didn't want to be there, and then bitched about how much of a pain in the ass touring and being lead singer would be. He's doing those same things at the beginning of this album cycle too. He wasn't that enthusiastic at the beginning of last album cycle, he's not that enthusiastic now. He didnt really pick it up until around T in the Park during the festival season. So far people to try to draw conclusions on the music based on his demeanor and whether he cares about a music video is jumping the gun to me. Give me an album as good or better than HFB's and he can mope where he wants.

Only 100K views on the video in 24 hours. I guess that was to be expected.

Only 100K views on the video in 24 hours. I guess that was to be expected. They should have released the proper video on the day of announcement instead of the audio-only video. Why did they do that? Anyway, given that the song has been out for nearly two weeks, 100k views don't seem bad to me...

I hope Noel isn't paying much for his promotions team because frankly I'd do a better job for free.

To be fair, that promotion team got him a #1 album, two Top 20 singles with one of those being the biggest selling Gallagher single since TIOBI, and back to arena level. And chances are he's on his way to more arena gigs and a second #1 album. That's difficult. I think most of us wouldn't do a better job and probably couldn't have delivered on that. Promotion is a long road. They have a little under five months until the record is released. Let's see what they do.

Only 100K views on the video in 24 hours. I guess that was to be expected. Yes, but between the music video and audio clip, that's near 1 million views. Considering WAL video only had 1.6 million views, EOTR only has 1.5 million views in three years and Dream On only has 725k, the combined total between the two is doing the work. The only two videos it's really behind from is TDOYAM at 5.6 million and IIHAG at 4 million (if combined with the audio clip it's at 6.5 million). For now, the combined total of ITHOTM is fine. What will be interesting is what they'll do during the Mighty I promotion. That should be the single that's pushed to both the US and international market. And it's airplay should be during the Christmas season if there's a January released scheduled. That should be where the brunt of the promotion will be because that's where they'll look to do the most damage with pre-orders.

I agree there is still a lot of time left until the album and we shouldn't jump the gun. At the same time I think it's Noel's songs that earned those achievements not above-average marketing.

Takes marketing for songs to be heard. Getting WAL in a commercial was marketing that led to high single sales and then higher album sales. Scheduling that press conference that they knew everyone would be watching, that's marketing and above average marketing that got everyone talking about Noel again. Doing a media blitz by scheduling all of his magazine interviews on the album in the previous months before the album announcement without any of those interviews leaking so they would be ready for that press conference and the weeks afterward is good marketing. And anyone who thinks he got that Brit award and performance without his marketing and promotional team campaigning for it, another thing that resulted in higher album sales, is fooling themselves. Those spots are not completely decided by the music. It takes a dedicated and good team to get that nomination and performance slot. His promotional team did a lot of things right on that previous album cycle. And it definitely had a direct effect on album and single sales.

I'd like to see Noel's marketing team take it to the next level. You all know what I'm referring to...........his CD in front of the register at STARBUCKS. That's sadly one of the last places you even see CDs anymore.
