;)Hi. Please could someone tell me what Angel Child is on the other side of?
I have a bad copy and want to get a better one and figure it must be an early B side.
Cheers!

From the BHN era? Wow.
Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can track it down.
I love it too... Noel's voice ...
Actually I love most of BHN!... especially D'you know what I mean?

The other morning I was riding the bus to work listening to my mp3 player. I started dozing off & this song came on. You know the part at the beginning where Noel (I think) says "okey dokey" & then whistles (at least that's what it sounds like to me)? It woke me up & scared the hell out of me cos I thought someone whispered in my ear! It was really freaky, I know I had to have jumped up out of my seat!
Can anyone confirm that this is what's said at the beginning of the song?

Yeah.. that's what he says.. 'Okey dokey' and then whistles
-edit-
have you noticed that that part is on a different track.. it's on the lead guitar track i think.. his voice there is in a better quality than the actual singing

That's why the "Okey Dokey" startled me so much. When you listen to it with headphones, it's only on the left side & it sounds just like someone whispering in your ear.

It's rediculous that they never finished this song.
What's worse is that they haven't put any BHN tunes on Stop the Clocks & there's no Sunday Morning Call on it either.

Fantastic tune. Should've gone on an album. Really shows that noel's songs were still awesome in the BHN period, was only over-production and too much coke that bloated the finished album. Would like to hear the BHN demos to get a feel for the rest of the songs in this stripped-down fashion.

Yeah, is it about Meg? I love the lyrics "when you find out/ when you find out who you are you know you'll be free/ to see your own ability..."
I always listen out for Noel's voice cracking & straining when he sings 'lies' when the verse is repeated - sounds like he's being strangled - so emotional & raw. I love this song. But when he's done it on radio shows & stuff the guitar intro sounds identical to Slide Away.
