Noel doesn't need an official forum. THIS IS THE ONLY FORUM A NOEL GALLAGHER, BEADY EYE or OASIS fan needs. This is the only forum I need. But for the more general public and for marketing purposes, it would actually be a smart thing to have one on his official website. Just my opinion though. They should just post a link to this place. Right webm@ster?

Disc 1
1. Riverman 2. In The Heat Of The Moment 3. The Girl With X-Ray Eyes 4. Lock All The Doors 5. The Dying Of The Light 6. The Right Stuff 7. While The Song Remains The Same 8. The Mexican 9. You Know We Can't Go Back 10. Ballad Of The Mighty I
Disc 2
1. Do The Damage 2. Revolution Song 3. Freaky Teeth 4. In The Heat Of The Moment (Remix) I like that Freak Teeth is bonus track rather than on the album. Properly record the song and give it a send off, but not as a main album track

The Good News: The New Single: Wow, not what I was expected, but sort of what I was hoping. I was disappointed with the lack of variety on the last record, something that I thought wouldn't have been the case from a Noel solo record, so this looks to go someway as to fixing that. Musical Progression: Like I just mentioned, it sounds like Noel experimenting, which is great! It sounds the most different thing since SOTSOG. Plus It sounds pretty good for saying it's Noel produced. The Tracklist: Really wasn't expecting it to be so different from the tunes we've already heard. Plenty of them were decent songs, but I think we all are pleased to hear so much new material will be revealed. Hopefully, all of these songs will be better than what we've heard then. However this is Noel 'Couldn'tpickatracklisttosavehislife' Gallagher we're talking about. Finger crossed though! The Bonus Tracks: Thank god 'Revolution Song' didn't make the final tracklist. 'Freaky Teeth' is a decent tune but I'm pleased Noel thinks he has better. Lock All The Doors: Probably the most unexpected news of all. Really, really pleased Noel hasn't abandoned unreleased material from the 90s.
The 'Meh' News: The Album Covers: I don't mind the 'Chasing Yesterday' cover actually. Even if a) Noel's dressed a little weird (for him) b) he looks bored out of his mind and c) it's pretty dark. The single cover though I do like. The Title: Not the best and Noel admits it. It's middle of the road okay.
The Not So Good News: The Waiting: Ah, such a long wait... Even for the single. Why not release it now? Come On Outside Anyone?: I'm pleased Noel thinks he has better, but does he? Now I'm not saying it's single material, but it's probably the best thing I've heard after 'The Dying Of The Light'. I'm sure plenty won't be bothered by this, and I won't be either if those other 8 tracks are better.

Noel really needs a new photographer. It's just staggering that of all the possibilities, literally an infinite number of possibilities, that's what they come up with. It blows my mind. The photo looks like it was taken on a phone, the logo looks like it was made from a font off 1001freefonts.com, and what are those ugly black lines? How can people actually get paid for producing something so aesthetically unappetising when it's their career? He's wearing shit clothes as well.

Usually a lot of artists have the "official" forum and the other fan forums though - this forum might be too uncensored for the official music authorities.

Agree with Go-go on Come On Outside. Needs to be released in some form, as a finished product. Still hoping it's a B side.
Are those bonus tracks for disk 2 the Japanese version as well? Or will there be more?

Anyone else wondering what the finished "Dying of the Light" will sound like? According to Noel, it's much more grandiose. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I remember what everyone here was saying, about how much they liked the acoustic version that we got from soundcheck (I was one of those people). I can go with grandiose if it's done well and it becomes anthemic (I would actually love to have a stripped-down acoustic version as a B-side though...)

Noel really needs a new photographer. And a stylist. He looks like hes having a mid-life crisis in these photos.

It's just alright.

I'm hoping that the remix is going to be by the Amorphous Androgynous, in which case the bonus CD will probably be about half an hour long. It matches the number of bonus tracks for BE anyway...

So it would be difficult to predict. But the acoustic version is pretty straightforward. I can't imagine it as being grandiose so it will certainly be interesting to see what comes of it. Noel said that he left the leaked soundcheck up because it happened to be a very good performance, one that he really nailed and enjoyed.

I'm completely over the AA. Let's be free of them for awhile. However, some of these titles sound like something that would appear on an AA project.

And I quite liked EOTR and IIHAG, actually. And like I said on one of my other posts, I am already liking the sound of the new single, so the mix for Dying of the Light could be really good. Definitely no to the disco!

Is Noel saying "Drop me with the gut?" before he counts in the song? "Drop me in from the Gap." Thats where he got the clothes for the cover.

It's hard enough these days to prevent leaks anyway, and if they're good, might as well leave them up for people to discover. Definitely looking forward to how he has changed it. Could be another song with lots of strings on it?

My thoughts... Shocking cover, ITHOTM - not keen, maybe a grower, Cant believe Freaky Teeth isn't on the main album That is all... If it was on the album, you'd be livid that it was and that it was taking up space where a new song could have been. FFS people annoy the shit out of me sometimes

just listened to this half a minute ago- First listen: This is the musical equivalent to Second Bite OTA + his brandmark Noel Gallagher chorus. The colors of the single cover remind me of the clock work orange infamous title sequence. I was thinking of The Importance OBI ( probably of the singing in the rain connection) and I'm thinking about the classicism of that particular song in comparrison to ITHOTM and we'll see how this will hold up to other classic Noel songs. Also, the production sounds a bit out of place on the first listen.
Buonasera!
