I feel it's greatly underrated
"Kickin up a storm from the day that i was born" -- exemplifies Liam, that line does
Catchy song
"Please sit down you make me feel diddy" "you betcha"
I LOVE IT
BHN song AND album are greatly under rated.....the lyrics may not be as good as DM, WTS, DBTT....but it's poppish and catchy as hell -- plus it was the first album i ever got for me in all of music

i guess this is what happens when there is a lack of oasis news, we all have to go back to the age old topics about be here now being underrated despite the shoddy production.
lol, although technically live4ever was talking specifically about the song be here now and not jsut the album. in anycase, i agree, i love that song. so upbeat!
so at least one thing good about that sun article, even if it wasnt true, it was a talking point at least.

"Sing a song for me / One from Let It Be"
One of Noel's WORST EVER lyrics. I'm sorry, it just is. As if the band needed to give more ammo to the people who branded them Beatles rip-offs. Lyrically lazy (which of course Noel has been before and since, but this one is really up there) and just a symptom of all the koova he was jamming up his hooter at the time.

I really like the Air Studios ' 97 rehearsel versions, they should've recorded on the album that way..
When Be Here Now as an album came out I though it was great, but there isn't one song on the album I can listen to now. On the other hand, some songs in other settings sounds nice ( like stand by me or don't go away). The whole Be Here Now era to me was over the top when i realised that the album was actually a bunch of crap. It made me listen to other bands and other music. The masterplan soften my anger, but it was untill HC that I started listen to oasis again.

This is only about the second time I'll admit to agreeing with live4evr about anything, but I completely side with the "Be Here Now" is totally underrated as a song. I love it... and its only the 4th or 5th best song on the album.
And for that its worth, start to finish, I think BHN as an album is fantastic, with the exceptions of GITDS and Magic Pie. Their first album with "skippable" songs IMO, with the possible exception of "Hey Now." Not bad for a 3rd offering.
