Remix album? Although these songs aren't the kind that initially seem ripe for such treatment so.... It would be weird if this was related to the European tour but that is now fully announced. To tweet it out two days in a row on various social media platforms raises your brow. Radiohead does everything with a purpose. They aren't Oasis management in that regard. Something is brewing.

That's because people refused to believe a Radiohead album cycle would only feature an 8 song LP. The Wall of Ice EP hype of summer 2009 was more interesting. That had some initial hidden website in the making. Only my Twisted Words emerged.

Now they've deleted both images from the last 2 days on twitter and instagram. Very strange.

I'll have a go - but as we learned last year, it's not the easiest thing in the world to get tickets for these guys.

I'll have a go - but as we learned last year, it's not the easiest thing in the world to get tickets for these guys. Where did they play last year? Well here's hoping we have some luck tomorrow... Maybe I'll see you there. I'll be the one in all the Pretty Green, skulking off to the bar when the beat-heavy 'danceable' stuff is being played... I'm only joking. I won't be going to the bar at all. Those big corporate venues charging £5 for two thirds of a pint of lukewarm lager, can fuck right off.

They only played three dates at the Roundhouse in Britain on the AMSP tour last time, as far as I'm aware. If you see a well-dressed someone in the crowd enjoying himself in a confident and relaxed manner, then that's not me. Keep looking.

Listening to Burn The Witch and a few other prescient tracks from A Moon Shaped Pool. That's how you do 'relevance' folks. Not in a way that sucks up to the mainstream, one that rather confronts grim realities of today. Very sad.

Listened to a few early live versions of the AMSP tracks today, mostly because there are a sizeable portion of Radiohead fans that prefer those versions to the ones on the album. I'm afraid to say that I disagree with them. Ful Stop as debuted live in 2012 lacks the subtle atmospherics that elevate the intense buildup of "the truth will mess you up!!" to one of the greatest moments in Radiohead. Identikit at Austin City Limits in '12 sounds very rough, and misses the sadness and paranoia of Thom's vocals and Jonny's agitated guitar solo. Plus, no synth can recreate the surreal choir chant of "BROKEN HEARTS MAKE IT RAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" These live versions are pretty clunky tbh, and sound a lot like demos. They don't really point toward the great songs that we hear on AMSP. You can tell from comparing these live run-throughs and the polished studio versions that Radiohead really do work themselves tirelessly in the studio, and their intense perfectionism is why they remain one of the greatest bands of today. And for those of you waiting for studio versions of Cut a Hole and Skirting, don't despair! No doubt the band attempted them in the AMSP sessions, but weren't satisfied with the results, and we'll be in for a pleasant surprise when we hear the final versions in 2021 (or whenever the fuck their next one is coming out).

When I saw them in July he said right before "Planet Telex" that we are need to WAKE UP. - Burn The Witch - Ful Stop - The Numbers - Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief

I'm not as hardcore a fan as you, TheEscapist or mystoryisgory so I didn't have any preconceptions on what songs would be on it (I hadn't heard any versions live aside from True Love Waits from the Kid A deluxe boxset - I didn't know they existed to be honest). I thought it was a genuinely great album on first listen to a listener like myself who, while having all their albums, wasn't as attuned to Radiohead as the biggest fans. As everyone says, a Radiohead album becomes more rewarding on repeated listens, but this one had an instant appeal to it that even In Rainbows didn't have. My honest opinion is that I prefer it to In Rainbows and it's certainly not far behind Kid A. It's probably one of their more accessible albums too in which I'd recommend to anyone who isn't that well versed with the band.

It definitely has a very organic feel to it unlike The King of Limbs which was extremely heavy with computers, loops and samples. This album is more gentle, reserved and straight forward............for Radiohead at least. It's the first time I said to myself, man Radiohead is getting older.

Gracefully though so its more mature sounding. It still retains a contemporary edge and sounds like an album for these times. It shows proof that older artists can make great music as long as they don't feel the need to be compromised by expectations.

Nigel did a fucking terrific job.
