The real question is: " Are we at a nadir as fans of Bernard Herrmann?" Yeah. Definitely By the way, the man was a fucking genius.

Does anyone know if there will be more UK gigs in the near future? I'd be surprised if there's anymore this year, there's still rumours of a secret set at Glastonbury but obviously that's no use if you don't have a ticket. I reckon they'll do some arenas next year although wouldn't be surprised if it was just Manchester and London again.

I'm hearing whispers of a Decks Dark/Lift 7" for June.

Must say, I find the first half of A Moon Shaped Pool quite difficult to get through, to be honest. The second half, from Identikit down, more than makes up for it though.

I think it flows extremely well from start to finish. It's amazing how despite the tracks being arranged alphabetically the album works that way. Genius!

So well in fact, that I almost don't notice that Daydreaming and Ful Stop are too long, and Desert Island Disk is obvious b-side material. Almost.

I can see where theyknowwhatimean 's coming from about Desert Island Disk, it's clearly the weakest song on the album. But it flows so goddamm well from Decks Dark, and it's not as if it's a bad song, so I have no urge to skip it or anything. Daydreaming and Ful Stop, though, are two highlights of the album. Daydreaming is possibly the best song on there and Ful Stop is like if Pink Floyd wrote Weird Fishes in a disco. Mega! For me this is one of their best flowing albums, perhaps their best after Kid A. That opening trio is also possibly their best also (After Kid A...); Burn the Witch / Daydreaming / Decks Dark is BIBLICAL! Then Desert Island Disk comes in SO sweetly, is a good song, and then you get back to the genius for seven tracks. Still have a strong internal conflict about A Moon Shaped Pool vs In Rainbows, btw. Latest ranking: 1. Daydreaming 2. The Numbers 3. Burn the Witch 4. Identikit 5. The Present Tense 6. Decks Dark 7. True Love Waits 8. Ful Stop 9. Glass Eyes 10. Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief 11. Desert Island Disk

Is the 'Decks Dark/Lift' single bullshit or real? 10:1 it's bullshit. We can expect two new songs with the deluxe edition, but rumour has it that they're Spectre and another one called "N. Wind" (which may be the same as this: citizeninsane.eu/thenorthwind.html ).

Lame that they had to waste an entire CD for only two tracks. Glad that tunes like Skirting On The Surface, Cut A Hole, Follow Me Around, Big Boots and Lift live on.

For a band that has been vocal about global warming I think it was stupid to put just two songs on one cd. That's not enviroment friendly at all.

This is a band that almost toured the globe by boat to reduce their carbon footprint.
