Wow, I've honestly never heard an album that sounds like that. Totally new sound that'll take a few listens to get my head around. Some amazingly beautiful songs and moments, and I'm sure it'll prove more loved than The King of Limbs. Could potentially be a classic, too early to tell. I mean, what genre even is this? Prog-rock Post-Rock

It's sounds like Mozart Stravinsky wrote Selected Ambient Works 85-92. It's definitely prog-ish, it's definitely beautiful. Songs much better on second listen now I know what to expect.

Does The Numbers sound a little like Zeppelin to anyone else?

This sounds nothing like Mozart, Stravinsky or Aphex Twin.

Special edition to be released in September contains two bonus tracks and a piece of a master tape from Kid A onward with 3/4 of a second of audio. Only Radiohead....

I noticed the two bonus tracks are included on a whole other CD. Seems excessive for just two tracks? Unless they're like 20 minutes each.

This sounds nothing like Mozart, Stravinsky or Aphex Twin. Stravinsky + Aphex Twin = Penderecki

If I had to describe this album, it would be 'A peaceful nightmare'.

The end of Ful Stop sounds like the dragon thing Obi Wan rides in the prequels.

You really do have to be in a certain frame of mind to listen to Radiohead.

What does Present Tense remind me of? Ah christ, it's on the tip of my tongue...
Whatever it is, the song is the loveliest thing.

Ok, I'm calling it. This is a classic. This is as good as, if not better than, In Rainbows. This is utterly beautiful and Radiohead have made their fifth classic. I'm almost speechless. I genuinely just played it in full to both of my parents and both - working class northerners - broke down into tears. Radiohead, I love you. Maybe they've had long days at work? Seriously though, I'm glad you like it. I'm digging it a fair bit myself.

Maybe they've had long days at work? Seriously though, I'm glad you like it. I'm digging it a fair bit myself. Down the coal mines? Sure Seriously though, I love this. I think every single track is brilliant. 21 years since The Bends, they have no right to still be this good. What's your favourite track so far? 'Daydreaming' and 'The Numbers' for me at the moment. I cant put this above In Rainbows unfortunately, but its still an epic entry to Radioheads discography.

The use of strings on this album is majestic.

On me third run-through now, but obviously, music produced in the way this has been only reveals its most tantalising secrets months, maybe years after you first hear it. So, going off what's really stuck out at this early stage: Decks Dark, Identikit, and Present Tense. I enjoy Burn the Witch too. What's yours?

I think its clear cut their best album effort since Kid A. Whether it surpasses that will tell in time. This is the most accessible album they've recorded in a long while as well. Everything is just really well done with subtle things going on in each track that demand more listens. It's got a late-Beatles feel to it in the way it flows and works together. Melodies and arrangements are wickedly good. Thom's vocal mixes are spot on. I love this record already. I don't expect immediacy from most of Radiohead's records aside from a few tracks and the rest kind of just percolates and I grow into. This is much different than that.
