It truly is amazing how this community formulates rumors.
I think I've briefly glossed over some factual piece of information over the last year or so that mentioned Noel was indeed considering this song as a potential release on his new album. If anyone has that source, can you please provide a link, I am very much interested.
Regardless, this track has done this forum more speculation than any other song, other than the RM/STC legacies.
The fact that what we have is indeed an unreleased song, not even a demo or b-side, perpetuates its myth.
So, do you want this track officially released on the forthcoming release? If yes - do you want it in current form, or re-worked (And if re-worked, please let it be more so than with what Noel "did" with Record Machine). And if no, why not?
Frankly, this tune deserves to be released in all its official glory. I'd love it to be saved for it to be released under the Oasis moniker, but that's unlikely.
Go on, Noel. Go on, my son.

I think Revolution Song is the best, not officially released yet song of Noel that we know about. So i say yes, and i don't trust Noel anymore with re working stuff so i say leave it like it is, just record properly.

Listening to it again, I'd rather have it unreleased or released as a b-side.

That's true, too. Depends on what her brothers and sisters are gonna be like. Will they accept Revolution Song or just say, hey you smell, get the hell out of here.

I got a feeling that Revolution Song is going to be on the album, but with nothing really new. Maybe a different guitar solo...
At the other side, I think that God Help Us All is not going to make it. But let's wait and see.

It will surely have been entirely re-recorded with HFB

No— the song is nearly 15 years old. I want to hear new songs. If anything, release it as a b-side.

For such a brilliant songwriter, Noel sure does love to release relics from the past. Write new material like your idols Neil Young , Ray Davies, David Bowie would do.

No. Too familiar. It already feels like it's been an Oasis song for years. Reworked as a b-side or possible bonus song would be acceptable.

No, because he should've released it within the SOTSOG era but didn't because it was too similar to Blur's Tender(THE FUCK NOEL? THOSE TWO SONGS CANT BE MORE FAR APPART) but each to it's own, I wouldn't protest a new version, just don't release the song as it was 15 years ago work on it or leave it alone.

Why would he release songs THAT old if he apparently has "around 50 or 60 new songs lying around"? Come on Noel!

No. Sounds too much like a SOTSOG-era tune for me to fit on the kind of albums Noely G writes nowadays

Would already have sounded really out of place on HFB1 which had several Oasis leftovers; I hope the next one will be all new stuff, maybe mix up the sound a little. Revolution Song wouldn't fit. Would love to see it as a b-side though - it's still a pretty good song. Not great, but good, better than most HFB1/late Oasis b-sides anyway.

Neil Young is a bad example. How so? The dude cranks out new albums of new material all the time. He's got archives of unreleased material from the past he won't release because he says the "moment" has passed.

Neil Young released several songs from the beginning of the 80's on his albums of the 90's.

Neil Young released several songs from the beginning of the 80's on his albums of the 90's. I mean that is splitting hairs when the vast majority of his releases are new material. Neil can get away with that since he's released something like 42 studio albums in the last 38 years. Noel and Oasis give us one every 3-5.
