I know this is going to cause a lot of arguing since i've left out a lot of great songs, but I can't list 500 different songs so deal with it Edit* I realized I left only 1 vote per person..apologies

None of the above and I don't think there is 1 best song. A Day In The Life is one of THE best for me though. And Bohemian Rhapsody and Life On Mars. And a lot of others.

No offence allingoodtime, but there's little point in creating a poll for this. It'd be difficult if it was just the best albums of all time but when you think of all the individual tunes that have ever been recorded, most if which I probably haven't heard, it just doesn't work. A couple of my favourites: - D'You Know What I Mean?; Supersonic and Live Forever by Oasis
- Dear Prudence; Here, There And Everywhere and I Want You (She's So Heavy) by the Beatles
- Life On Mars? by David Bowie
- Kashmir; The Lemon Song and The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin
- Gimme Shelter by the Stones

Best Albums would still be too hard for me, because I wouldn't know how to judge them. How does that work? I mean, if there are two albums and on the first there's one song you don't like and on the other you like everything, would the second one automatically be the winner even though the rest of the songs on the first might be better?

You really can't poll that, everyone has their own idea.
For me: Inis Mona-Elevetie (Yes it is possible to go full out and still write folk metal) Ballad Of Bull-Sabaton Ghost Division-Sabaton (Call me a Nazi, I dare you) Age of Reason-John Farnham

Yeah. It's not possible , total matter of taste, and your mindset , but to be true to whst I have posted here since. Well forever .....my favorite song ever is KASHMIR so I guess you could say that would consistently be my vote if gun to head last song I want to hear before I check out , best I can say , after that all the songs in poll Are great but I do concur with ash learning to fly DONT even crack my to 50 of floyd tunes , but hey different strokes and all ,my fav floyd tune is "wish you were here " but after kashmir , do many great great songs , can't pick Its KASHMIR , then like 100 or more and depending on my mood at that time they all can fill out top 10 , beauty of rock imo

Impossible to do in a poll because there are dozens (DOZENS!) of viable candidates. Mine: Supersonic - Oasis A Day in the Life - The Beatles Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones I Am The Resurrection - The Stone Roses There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths The National Front Disco - Morrissey Can't Stand Me Now - The Libertines Find The River - R.E.M. Beetlebum - Blur
...just to cover most of my favorite bands.
