It's normal for us Oasis fans to discuss who we like better: Noel or Liam

well, thats pointless in my opinion -- atleast dealing with music.

Personality wise it's too close to call.
Noel is smarter, has great sarcastic wit, tells good stories
Liam is more of a rebel, has a great "who the fuck cares" attitude
*but when those 2 types of personalities combine, you got a great atmosphere, and that really does help give Oasis an edge

Musically you need both.
Noel writes better lyrics, has a better 'standard' voice
Liam's songs have a great simplicity about them, his voice is unique in the rock world
*Noel's tunes are better, but when Liam adds his songs, it gives Oasis another dimension. Noel would never write something like Song Bird or Love Like A Bomb

My point is that for Oasis to have been the biggest band in the world at one time, and still be a mega band....you can't have one without the other
