I still remember my mum coming home from work, telling us to switch on the t.v cos something had happened..
Such a shame.
I hope all the affected families have moved on from this :/

I was 10 years old, I remember being in primary school and just after lunch. The class was about to watch a video, but we ended up watching the news. Still clear as a bell - the worst thing I have ever witnessed, can only have thoughts for friends and family who were impacted by this.

We would all play together everyday , when neighborhood was a neighborhood. Guys and girls. Played kick ball , red rover , hide and seek , Marco Polo , her name was Gina laverde she was on 96 th floor. Never found her , when I lived back home I would go to monument. And find her name , it was surreal a girl I knew all my life ,at 13 in summers we all drank our first 40 s then go get pizza. Sad I try not to think of her but on 9/11 always do

I was at my granny's house for tea and I asked her why was Neighbours not on and she said 'did you not here what happend?' so i flicked it over and i couldnt believe what i was watching.
We visited New York a year later and went to ground zero and it was still spooky it sent shivers down my spine. Terrible.

I remember being at school must have been about quarter to 2 here, a teacher came in and said somethings happening in new york, they wheeled this big Tv out into the hall and and we all sat and watched the news coverage, seem to remember that when the 2nd plane hit they basically switched off the TV and told us to go back to lessons (probably because it was clear it was deliberate) and I remember getting home from school and putting the TV on and by that time they had both collapsed, just couldnt understand how 2 buildings like that could just disappear.

I'm from Argentina, I was 12 years old, a friend called me right after high school telling me to swith on the tv... crazy.
Argentina was on the verge of a very very deep economic crisis by that time, so I guess 11-s only made the things weirder.
Funny thing is that 5 years after this the world was amid an economic boom, driven by credit, commodities and china.
Now we bottomed again and the irak occupation story is now the story of islamic state. Generations of children raised in new plus old fears are now grown.
Internet made us half baked morons powerless in internet. Teenagers live through the screen of some device. That's why the 00s is the decade of urban tribes and other subcultures.
I'm always eager to see what's next.

I was asleep (14 at the time and had a test next morning), my uncle apparently lost a friend in the attacks (engineer and head of the first clean up of a nuke site at Marilinga, a British test site for nukes.). Now conspiracies rage from 'Israel did it' to 'controlled demolition'. Do they have proof?
