HC doesn't need a reissue, it needs to be redone! Take what you need and be on your way... I still love HC no matter how much shit it gets on here, but it certainly needs a remaster. SOTSOG doesn't actually need a remaster as its the best sounding Oasis album, but would love a disc on bonus material.

HC is a glorified EP imo, they just stuck a load of very average tracks on there to make a full album, HC has better singles than SOTSOG and maybe even DBTT as well but as a whole album its got to be the lowest effort and the production is horrible imo. The only track your really going to miss out on if you only buy the singles is born on a different cloud.
I expect it will get some sort of rerelease, money for old rope aint it.

HC doesn't need a reissue, it needs to be redone! Take what you need and be on your way... HC has probably been record like 10 times. I believe there is ton of material from demos and unreleased sessions from the HC era. It might be very exciting from the demos we heard, they sounded so different than the finished record I mean from Hindu times demo to Songbird demo... there's a huge gap in style and sound. what's in between must be amazing as well. I remember Noel Saying they used Wheeler End, their studio, quite a lot back then... HC (and onward) will probably be the most interesting to hear. DM and MG reissues were ok, BHN could be great but it will be ok too, and they'll put more stuff on later records coz they are less appealing as they are.

Some things I'd like to see on an HC reissue: -The Roller (Oasis version). Probably won't stand up to the DGSS version because of poor production, but would be an interesting tidbit nonetheless. -Beetle Juice. Might turn out to be boring, but in my book, any new Oasis song is a treat, even an instrumental. -Thank You for the Good Times (Noel acoustic) -Sing (If the Song's Worth Singing) -The Good Rebel (demo) -High Horse Lady (demo). If I'm not mistaken, this song is a holdover from the HC sessions? -A Quick Peep (extended) -Better Man (demo). Isn't a clip from this on one of the DVD singles? -Heart of a Star (demo) -Stop the Clocks (HC demo) Doesn't seem like much of a reissue, does it? But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be released. Does anyone ( asimarx, Jim) know of any other songs that were recorded during the HC sessions?

Does anyone ( asimarx, Jim) know of any other songs that were recorded during the HC sessions? I think Wind Up Dream was written from around this time. Gem has previously stated it is as old as The Roller. There won't be a Stop the Clocks demo from this period though. Pretty sure it was written during the Heathen Chemistry tour along with Record Machine in late 2002 / early 2003. There will always be songs we don't know anything about but the fact Noel used songs written from the Giants sessions (Force of Nature, Little by Little, Getting Older, Idlers Dream) says to me there won't be much in the vault from that era, from Noel at least, but maybe unknown tracks in the archive from Liam, Andy and Gem, possibly some from the sessions Johnny Marr was involved in. If anything there maybe a few alternative versions as previously mentioned there is quite a difference in the demos for The Hindu Times and Songbird compared to the final album versions.

Don't forget Hung in a Bad Place. That is a fantastic rocker that actually sounds good with the raw production of the HC era.

My predictions -
-Oasis doco at selected cinemas for a short run late 2016 -Oasis doco on disc early 2017 -Be Here Now reissue late 2017 -New Noel album early 2018
Nothing else new in between (apart from vinyl reissues).
Hope I'm wrong but I think that's all we have to look forward to for a while.

"Chasing the Sun" Project 2014/02/26 Project Info Release 2014/04/11-22 Exhibition at London 2014/05/14 Definitely Maybe Release 2014/09/24 Morning Glory Release 2014/10/25-28 Exhibition at Tokyo ****/**/** Be Here Now Release It takes 2 years, Project haven't finished yet. If my boss gave me a project to do within 1 year, but ended up taking over 2 years, I'd get the sack. And deservedly so. maybe in this particular case, 'the boss' doesn't really give a shit when it is completed.

Does anybody know exactly how well the first two reissues sold? My guess is that if their two 'best' albums didn't sell amazingly well through a reissue, then they wouldn't bother with 'Be Here Now'. Plus, too much time has passed since the announcement, it would be weird to release it like two years later.

In terms of sales compared to their heyday Oasis were one of a number of releases in 2014 that totalled between them 825,000 vinyl sales- gigwise Although impressive as part of a resurgence in interest in vinyl it is nowhere near any of their compilations or studio album's in part due to cost and speciality, but I would also assume perhaps Noel still isn't happy releasing certain aspects of the BHN era such as the Mustique demos, or just revisiting that period in general which may have stalled things somewhat. Also Liam doing his unique 'promotional' Work on Twitter in 2014 when' Chasing the Sun's was announced probably didn't help Guardian 2014 Still at least the man remains consistently unpredictable

I think particularly with Noels stance on BHN, this particular reissue was only ever going to happen if the other two sold well and Im guessing they didnt, Noel would probably prefer to let it go than release an album he doesnt even like to poor sales.
never understood the release schedule like they did it, shouldve been one boxset for £20 or something, done deal, not too expensive and it was mostly only going to be the major fans like us that were going to buy these anyhow, the extras all grouped together wouldve probably looked more appealing and BHN wouldve been released along with the other two without much fuss and attention if Noel really doesnt like it that much.
the long waits inbetween just made people get bored and the project just lost all its steam.
