That is literally one of the best things I've ever heard. I got actual goosebumps listening to that with my headphones on. The more acoustic start with Liam's voice right up in the mix is unreal. Don't get me fucking started on them strings, Jesus fucking Christ. Amazing.

Did anyone else notice that My Big Mouth seems to be 9 seconds longer and Magic Pie 9 seconds shorter? Looks like they tacked the hiss at the beginning of MP onto the end of MBM. That's actually great news for me. My Big Mouth cutting off suddenly has always made it a tricky customer when composing alternative tracklistings...

Been listening to the new DYKWIM a lot more. It's amazing that they had such brilliant arrangement ideas and they decided to hide them under layers and layers of crap.
For example, the echoing string glissando after the first chorus (2:56) has got to be by far one of the best moments in the whole Oasis discography.

Love the new remix as well, the strings are amazing. Pity they couldn't be arsed..
Excited for all these Oasis releases though !

Is there a possibility that it will be in the charts?

Is there a possibility that it will be in the charts? I would presume so as I can't offhand see any reason why it would be ineligible

I really want a "rethought" It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) now.
One of the biggest thrills of the DYKWIM one, for me, is those drums. No longer do Whitey's cymbals feel like they're being hit next to your left ear, and even when some more tracks come in for the last chorus, you can still hear them - no muffling!
All the loud Be Here Now tracks (which means just about ALL the Be Here Now tracks) need their drums sorting out, but no more is this the case than on It's Gettin' Better (Man!!).

A feeling of euphoria has hit Bolton via theyknowwhatimean , the like of which has not been seen since Nat Lofthouse graced Burnden Park In all seriousness though it would have been nice for the whole album to have been done, first and foremost for the sound but also on here it would nullify more arguments about how BHN could have sounded!

Depending on how well received DYKWIM 2016 is I think we may get a full 'Rethought' album for the 25th anniversary. The original CD release is truly deafening.

I wouldn't like it if Noel peforms D'You Know What I Mean? acoustic live. For the same reasons I hope Noel will never play Live Forever. He should play Don't Go Away (most likely), Angel Child, Going Nowhere or Fade In-Out.

It's probably the greyest place I've ever known, my old town. Well, apart from Salford. And Middlesborough, of course...

Fuck it, was listening to the new remix at home, then my mother came and told me: "Again Oasis ahah ". "But mom, this is the remix 2016 of D'You Know What I Mean?, Be Here Now reissue is coming soon, it's like the holy grail for the Oasis fans". " You must be the biggest fan in the world then "
Mom, if you only knew this forum...

I woke up this morning feeling like a six years old boy on Christmas day.

Question: Speaking of the late ’90s, you’ve always been critical of Oasis’s third album, Be Here Now, which I still love. You called it “fucking shit” a few times. Has your opinion changed any? Answer: Well, there’s a new reissue of it coming out next year, and the people at the record label were like, “Do you want to do something with it?” And I said, “Not really.” But they reminded me of an interview where I’d said that I’d love to edit it down, because I thought the songs were too long, and they asked if I’d be interested in that. I thought, that sounds interesting. So I went to the studio and it dawned on me after an hour that it’s the chaos and the length of the songs that makes the album what it is. I started to edit one song, and I thought, what’s the point? I like it the way it is. It’s not my favorite record, but listening to it brought me back to the best of times — that tour was the greatest fucking party. And that’s somebody’s favorite record, and for that I’m proud. I could have butchered it, but I’ll fucking leave it as it is. It’s all right. amen to this. i said it before and i'll say it again--- if any of these songs are edited down or altered in any way, i will be having no part of this project nor will i be buying it. are you sure you don't want to retract this?

NATE? defionition please, cause my english knowledge cannot understand the meaning of the word. a google search didnt help... so? space75grA cock up by the original meme author caused by the 'n' and 'm' keys being adjacent on a keyboard (mate not nate), which in my laziness I couldn't be bothered to go through the rigmarole of correcting before I reused it. Only having a bit of a laugh anyway mate, nothing to take seriously

Last night was epic. I woke up this morning feeling like a six years old boy on Christmas day. except your parents have told you you have to wait for over 2 months to open your presents.... Im just hoping Noel will see the reception for the remix and rethink the rethinks for a future release..

This 2003 headline re: Middlesborough always made me laugh, just for the image it was so dank Gollum would actually move there Went there for an away day once, when we both, Bolton and Middlesbrough were still in the Prem. Was abolutely blown away by just how grim it was. Nothing can really prepare you for it. There's just grey for as far as the eye can see. You know I don't pretend Bolton is a particularly nice place to live, but I can imagine the sense of hopelessness folks from Middlesbrough might feel, waking up to that everyday, and honestly, I'm not sure I could live there. At least in Bolton, when we feel like we're being dragged down by life and all its trappings, we can go for a walk in Rivington, or over Edgeworth way, but over there... I can't imagine what it's like. That's what staggers me so about the gravel-voiced blues man, Chris Rea being a Tory. Alright he must have made a bit of money in his time, but how can someone born into such surroundings have come to align himself with a political party whose whole economic mindset encourages the further leaving behind of places like Middlesbrough?

I was a bit sceptical about Noel messing around with Be Here Now but I have to admit, after hearing The Rethink, I wish he had found the will to do the whole thing.

I've already posted this in the OOPS thread ( look here for more info) but I guess it belongs here too. I had a go at OOPSing the Amazon mp3 of the Rethink. Needless to say, it's fucking amazing. That's why I didn't post much in this thread last night.
Thanks.
