At this point I no longer care of Noel's third album ever comes out. Lol. And yes!

I'm pretty sure the demo of Don't Go Away on disc 2 dates back to at least 1995, when according to Noel it was first demoed. Since it was demoed on Mustique in 1996 too, this version has got to be older. So basically we'll get another Morning Glory era demo, I guess. Maybe even earlier - Tony McCarrol says it was written in 1993, which makes sense given the fact that it was "inspired" by a Real People track. Yeah, I was actually hoping for more Boardwalk era material like an rehearsal version of All Around The World from 1992/93 or the aforementioned demo of Going Nowhere. I'm still pleased with the tracklisting, however.

Owen Morris did say in his blog a few years ago that Heroes and Street Fighting Man were bad decisions by the band. Maybe Noel agrees?! Street Fighting Man was so shit (particularly where Liam's concerned), I tend to think the band just did it as a joke, to fill up space needed on the All Around the World EP, and to rip on the Stones, who Liam wasn't on the best of terms with at the time. And with 'Heroes', I imagine Noel feels a bit embarrassed by it these days - especially as the great man died not too long ago and our Noel was obviously affected by it. The recording is cocaine-Noel at his worst: shouty and stupid.

Never thought I'd get this excited about a nearly 20 year old song that I've heard thousands of times before.

So I was right with Heroes and Street Fighting Man... Here another guess: The Girl In The Dirty Shirt (Live at The Point Depot) will be a Japenese bonus track

The 2016 NG Rethink of DYKWIM sounds like the lovechild of Bitter Sweet Symphony and Breaking Into Heaven conceived while Noel was shagging Kate Moss on a Mustique beach in 1996.
Fucking hell.

The one disappointment for me, looking at the tracklist for the first time, was there not being a full version of this, the rough mix for DGA: A demo version recorded MG-era, would no doubt be more acoustic than what the final version ended up as, so if it is Liam is on there, I'll sort of get my wish of hearing Liam singing over a more acoustic DGA, after all

How did you get to hear it? I've set Hola to Australia, and logged into the Spotify web player (https://play.spotify.com). But I can't find the track!
