So, I've seen them for €17. They were brilliant. They played Alcatraz in Milan which has a capacity of 2.5k, Noel, Oasis and Beady Eye played there either.
This is the set-list

They're performing at a festival I'm going to so will definitely check them out. But first I'll have to listen to more of their music.

Just listened to these guys' debut album, and I must say it is one of the blandest pieces of music that I've heard in a long time. There's nothing memorable about anything that goes on here. A singer trying to impersonate Jack White in lack of an own voice, completely uninteresting lyrics that tries to be edgy, and to top it off, no melodies that I will remember unless I listen to it again, which I won't. Prior to giving this a try I had heard/read many positive reviews of this band (as well as album), but after just a few tracks I had to go to Google and assure myself that I hadn't got the name of the band wrong. "Saviors of rock"... I would say the opposite.
Despite my negative comments above, there wasn't really anything that was really bad about this album. It was just middle of the road all the way through, until your mind went numb. I'd gladly change some of the songs for a couple of worse ones just to spice things up, and maybe get some enjoyment out of it as you sometimes do listening to really bad music. Because there was no enjoyment to be found here.

Listened to their second album today and unfortunately it's more Room on Fire than The Bends in terms of a follow up,
Three year wait for 30mins of more of the same

Listened to their second album today and unfortunately it's more Room on Fire than The Bends in terms of a follow up, Three year wait for 30mins of more of the same Room on Fire is fantastic follow up, it's aged pretty damn well. It's no Is This It but it's the best Strokes album after Their debut for me. I have to agree, Royal Blood second album was sadly a case of meh rather then mind blowing. Lights Out, How Did we Get so Dark and I Only Lie When U Love You are great. But the rest is filler for me. That third album now has to really hit the spot, or they could end up fading to playing mid size crowds who are just there to hear them play the singles from the first album.
