Listening to Concrete Love right now. So far, much better than Anna. But Anna was atrocious, it was so bad it made Heathen Chemistry look polished and relevant.
Courteeners (like Kasabian) simply haven't lived to their potential. Sad. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing them (The Courteeners) live as they do have some enjoyable tunes and seem like a right laugh.

I came to appreciate them after seeing them supporting The Killers last year, so I sat and listened to all their albums. From that I found a good few songs that I really liked, but then when I got to Concrete Love, I found the crown jewel, the macdaddy of all their songs. The song "Summer" off of Concrete Love it's absolutely fucking brilliant. Genuinely become one of my favourite ever songs and my most played track of last year. Despite this, I wouldn't call myself a full on fan of the band, but that song.....fuck me it's awesome. Go and listen to it semi-loud with headphones, and you'll see, it's fucking majestic. It'll be the best thing you did with your day

I listened to their first album ages ago, I was in my last year at school I think. It was decent, but it's never warranted that many spins for me I'm afraid. Kasabian's first album I still dig massively though, but their drop off was astonishing. In terms of a band that really had potential, they blew it big time. I remember liking their third one though - but then my tastes expanded to bands like The Kinks and I realised how much they had ripped off from other acts for West Ryder, now I can't bear to listen to it. Chris Karloff's departure after the first album must have been a big reason for such a decline.

The International is a tune, mind. Although the Courteeners write these types in their sleep.

Anybody go the Heaton Park show? It was electric. I've seen them many of times but it really was something special.

Concrete Love (2014) has MASSIVELY grown on me. Might be my favorite album from the Courteeners.
It seems like the band have faded into obscurity though (?).

They apparently have another album out later this year, far too soon IMO. Since the first two albums the quality has dropped off a lot, Concrete Love is by far there worst effort to date.

Bollocks to you. ANNA was by far the worst. Dire shite.

Bollocks to you. ANNA was by far the worst. Dire shite. Concrete Love has White Horses on it, now that is truly dire. The sound of Concrete Love doesn't sit well with me, on the plus side Winter Wonderland was brilliant.
ANNA has Notion, Money & Here Come The Young Men. That's enough to save it.
