Bought their new album today, only listened to the first couple of tracks up until now but have liked all their albums so far.

I like them and I've seen them last year. Shamely they're one of those bands which aren't very known outside UK (stronger, Manchester for them).
I liked their first 2 albums, but didn't like the last one except the album title.
Watching their live DVD from sold out MEN Arena - the Europe's biggest indoor arena - and comparing to the one I've been to - the small hall of Paradiso with capacity of 250 - makes me sometimes wonder if I've seen the same band. They're a good band. I haven't listened to their new album yet, but am looking forward to it.

They are absolutely crap. Liam Fray is a dick and they've got shit fans. They are a shit band. Nearly as bad as Arctic Monkeys.

They are absolutely crap. Liam Fray is a dick and they've got shit fans. They are a shit band. Nearly as bad as Arctic Monkeys. That is my opinion. There you go again, craig. If you don't like certain bands, it doesn't mean they're crap. Even one of my life time bands like Oasis got shit fans, but it doesn't make me to hate them. That is my opinion too. |

I really like them, new album's good though not quite as good as last year's Anna which I think is their best. White Horses and Small Bones off the new one are up there with their best songs though.

What the hell? They're playing at Heaton Park (50,000 people) next june. I'm not surprised. They've easily sold out MEN Arena years ago. The Courteeners are good, but pretty much unknown outside UK (Manchester). I've seen them in upstairs hall of Paradiso last year. Capacity is about 250 and 98% of the audiences were from UK. I'm not a fan fo their latest album, but first 2 albums. |

Shame on me, but I've never heard a track of theirs - I remember them being quite big some years back but I seem to have missed the boat on them.
Playing at Heaton Park to 50,000 then? Amazing - only Oasis or The Stone Roses could get that kind of numbers.

I believe that for anyone outside Manchester is hard to believe how they'er loved overthere. They're very good live, but all the UK fans at their Amsterdam gig were beasts and I really mean it.

What the hell? They're playing at Heaton Park (50,000 people) next june. have they said its a 50k gig? oasis and the stone roses were 70-75k each night so this is a smaller gig then theres (and potentially only one date) on the flip side it could be 75k gig and they hope to add another date? |

It if thought Anna was poor probably best to swerve Concrete Love, a few good songs but the rest are mainly average. Production is very poor too. |

Tried to get into them because one of my mates loves them (got Liam's guitar pick and song sheet at an Aberdeen gig) but never really been interested in any of their stuff.
