I was reading off of www.live4ever.uk.com/2014/08/foo-fighters-trail-sonic-highways-documentary/Foo Fighters have unveiled a trailer for the documentary which tells the story of the recording of their upcoming new album ‘Sonic Highways‘ and also features a short clip of opening track ‘Something From Nothing‘. Have a watch below via YouTube. The show is due to air in the United States on HBO on October 17th, and follows Dave Grohl on their journeys through eight different US cities where a single album track was each recorded with local musicians and producers. Photo by some New York guy.. webm@ster“I really believe that the environment in which you write or record an album influences the musical result,” Grohl has said. “This is a musical map of America.” There are plenty of familiar faces to be seen in the film, these include Slash, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Chuck D., Joan Jett, Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams, Buddy Guy, Dan Auerbach and Barack Obama.

any idea what the length of this doc is? Leading up to the November worldwide release of their eighth album Sonic Highways, the 11-time Grammy Award-winning Foo Fighters, who will celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band, will be profiled in the eight-episode documentary series, which is directed by the band’s own Dave Grohl. my guess an hour each episode. 8 hours together.

These 8 songs better be good cause the whole thing can easily be too big for the boots if they are just average. But Foo Fighters are getting better every album since In Your Honor so i bet Grohl knows what he is doing. What a guy btw. You can like him or not but you can't deny that dude knows his craft. Looking forward to it.

There Is Nothing Left to Lose is one of my favorite albums of all time and I think it's their best work. I'm really excited for this new album!

This can be either the greatest album of the 21st century or just an overcrowded/blown record, that won't live up for the hype. But man I love the hype this is getting.
