Well with 15 odd games left it looks like Leicester will be returning up barring a collapse Thought we could start. Championship thread. For those who follow the lower division as I do , I think my Leeds united have left it late but can still get hot ....BUT WHAT ABOUT BRIGHTON & HOVE ! Sitting in 8th 4 out of playoffs with a game in hand Can't believe how low Birmingham city have fell and millwAll who were in contention for the premiere leauge not long ago,is now in a relegation battle ....things looking good
Btw always had a soft spot for Leicester and wimbleldon. First premier leauge game I ever saw. A brutal frigid nil nil affair with one shot on Net in the. Coldest I ever was in London in my life

Leeds still hate Sheffield Wednesday apparently. Why? 6-0, that's why.

Glad to see a thread being made on this at last Cheers I tried it twice years ago , but it seeemed back then all either supported , pretended to support or hate united , couldn't get it off and running . Hopefully this can be a thread like thoughts , that has a life that lasts as teams go up and down ....we seem to have more diverse fanbase now than in years past

For fucks sake Rovers, simply not good enough yet again. At least we can be proud of them 35 years.

Leicester are doing absolutely fantastic at the moment, but for me it is Burnley who are team of the year at the moment.
Sean Dyche is another up and coming young manager who plays a good brand of football. Echoes of what Brendan Rodgers did at Swansea, considering the lack of resources for Burnley too and the admirable tactics too.
Similarities with Brendan Rodgers are well placed too - Dyche worked as a coach for Watford when Rodgers managed them back in 2008, so too did Malky Mackay. This young 'ratpack' of managers all learnt their trade at Watford five years ago, with Rodgers as the manager, and Mackay and Dyche closely working with him. Of course, Mackay and Dyche have taken that step up into the managerial position, and all play a good brand of football now, and all are incredibly talented. The three of them are also good friends, so it's great to see that becoming rivals somewhat hasn't tainted the mutual bond they gained at Watford.
As for Mackay, he is bound to be picked up somewhere with a lot of potential - perhaps Nottingham Forest, who have the resources to go forward with their foreign owner. Just a shame that he was sacked as Cardiff manager by the mad owner, as I am certain they would have stayed up with him in charge.
Amazing though how all three of these young coaches have come on in the last five years. Perhaps, in a few years time, we will see Dyche and Mackay managing big clubs at the top end of the Premier League, fighting it out with Rodgers. To come full circle like that would make for a great story for three young coaches who started out together at such humble origins.

Didn't know Barack Obama was playing for Sheffield Wednesday. Leon Best's goal celebration against Brighton and Hove Albion photo looks like Obama's playing

Burnley 0 - 1 Leicester at half time. Come on Leicester!!! Haven't caught up, but who is your manager? Well Leicester's manager is Nigel Pearson, though I'm a Blackburn Rovers fan personally and we're managed by Gary Bowyer.

The start of the season snuck up on me being the supporter of a premier league team that still has a final friendly to play this week.
Does anyone know if Blackpool have a squad to start the season with?
And who is going to be the first manager to loose his job?

1. Blackburn Rovers 2. Derby 3. Watford 4. Bournemouth 5. Cardiff 6. Norwich
That's how I'm expecting it to pan out at the moment, based on today's games and also last seasons performances. Its harder than ever to predict because of the amount of teams that could do well.
Blackpool are certs for relegation, let's not kid ourselves. I would put good money on them being the first team to go down.
